Hostal Bezana — Hotel in Burgos

We stayed in room 101 for four nights. While very clean, I think this room may have been the loudest in the building. The walls were wafer thin and you could actually hear people talking in the next door hostel. The other wall neighboured the next room's bathroom and we could hear all goings-on in there including the very loud "jet-propelled" toilet tanks. Our own bathroom was super tiny with no room to turn around. The good point was the huge bathtub which came in useful for soaking sore muscles and bones in hot water. The shower head was broken though and the water sprayed from both the shower and the tap. |The cleaning lady was super nice, which was the highlight of this place. The staff in the restaurant was not very friendly though. Not sure if they simply don't like the Camino pilgrims or they are overworked. There ever only seemed to be the one waitress, María.|If you just want a place to put your head down for the night and you are a sound sleeper, this place is for you. On our arrival to the Hostal we were greeted warmly and all our needs were tended to, the parking area (if you have a car obviously), is really not that far away from the domicile - less than 5 minutes away - and very secure/easily accessible. In all the time we stayed at Hostal Bezana we felt welcome and the people who staff this place are such a nice group, the room was basic but very comfortable, each night was undisturbed although the afternoon siesta was disturbed by construction work in the surrounding flats - not the Bezanas fault of course. As we have family in the area, we will definitely return as the whole experience was...

Well located, 7 minutes walk to Plaza Mayor, 2 mins to Rio Alarnzon.||Room - clean, recently renovated to a good standard. Staff - happy and helpful.||Wifi - variable speed and availability.||Fire Evacuation Instructions - do not exist.||Renovation Works - in progress during our 5 day stay - 1-6 June 19 - involves foyer, staircase and lift access to rooms. not advised at time of booking.||Unsafe situation - guests need to negotiate, workers, tools, building materials , electrical connections on leaving and entering the hostal.||Would not stay again until...
