Staying at Dormir en Cádiz was one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had. Everything was spotless — the attention to cleanliness and detail was beyond impressive. The room was not only extremely comfortable but also beautifully thought-out; from storage solutions to lighting and layout, every little detail was designed with care and comfort in mind. It genuinely felt like a home away from home.

Pablo, who runs the place, is an extraordinary person. Incredibly hardworking, attentive, and thoughtful — thanks to him, I felt safe, welcomed, and completely looked after. Every day, I discovered something new with his guidance. From local eateries to hidden spots, I got to experience Cádiz like a true local. The food, the drinks, the vibes — simply unforgettable!

The hostel owner, Jaime, is also amazing — generous with his time, smile and knowledge, always eager to share stories and recommendations that enriched my experience.

When it came to beach days, both Pablo and Jaime went above and beyond. They offered everything I could possibly need — a towel, cold water (even frozen bottles for the heat!), a beach chair, umbrella, sunscreen, and after-sun. I’d just grab my “beach kit” and go. It felt luxurious, effortless, and thoughtful all at once.

Belen, who takes care of the rooms, greeted me with a warm smile every day. Even if you don’t speak the same language, she makes communication easy with her kindness and energy.

I truly loved every minute of my stay. The people, the atmosphere, the comfort — it was all perfect. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you for making my time in Cádiz so special. The only thing I didn’t like…...

We stayed two nights in Cádiz and very much enjoyed our stay at Dormir in Cádiz, which is a small hotel in an historic and atmospheric city centre housem imaginatively and colourfully refurbished, located on a busy-pedestrian side street, close to bars and restaurants. Jaime and Ana are amazing hosts who bend over backwards to help you get the most out of your stay, from the hand-annotated map showing where to get breakfast, drinks, dinner, ice cream and more, plus all the main sights, to thoughtful touches like beach gear, use of a fridge, bottles of water to help yourself to, and any other help you need with anything at all. Our room was on the top floor (not suitable for anyone with mobility problems, as there is no lift), and small for us with so much stuff, but had all we needed including a kettle and tea which came in very handy when I was laid up with food-poisoning....Some room furnishings slightly tired in places, but overall clean and comfortable, with good hanging space, a TV, working aircon, all-important blackout curtains and a good shower. The roof terrace is delightful for a little quiet time (not easy in Cádiz especially with Carnival in full swing). Do follow Jaime/Ana's suggestions for parking. The restaurant next door, and those round the corner, are all very good. This was my most comfortable stay out of several accommodations in Andalucia. Receptionist was an absolute delight, the most helpful I've met in my entire life, definitely on the level of a 5 star hotel, apart for reception not being open 24h.||||The and bedroom was comfortable, the shower excellent. The electrical socket was not directly with the bed, so my short charger wire didn't reach, but the receptionist got me an extension, so that did the trick. ||||The sliding bathroom door needed some maintenance to close well, this would have been a problem, had I had company, as I would not have been fully comfortable using it due to sounds and odors escaping from the crack.||||Another small minus is lack of a lift, which was somewhat inconvenient with my luggage and my room being on the top floor. It wasn't a major problem for me, but if I were jn a poorer health, it would have been.||||Overall excellent budget accommodation, and I have no doubt that had I mentioned the bathroom door while I was there, it would've been fixed instantly, that's how sure I'm of the commitment...
