The best thing about this apartment is the gigantic rooftop terrace with its amazing views. It's probably quite unique in an Airbnb. The interior of the apartment is very lovely, it was super clean and the location in Cádiz is really good, too. But there were as well a few things, which we didn't like: It's quite complicated to access the apartment, because once in the building you still have to open 3 (!) more doors to get in. Since this was not the easiest thing, as the doors are quite old and difficult to open, we would've liked someone from the check-in to come with us quickly and show, how it all works. So the check-in process itself was not the best either. Check-in time was indicated as 15:00, we arrived after 16:00 and still had to wait for a while till we could get in, because the cleaning wasn't done yet. We didn't get an explanation about, where the 2nd bedroom was and the lady forgot to give us the number code for the access to it, so that we had to go back to the office and ask. That's another thing, which is not too good about this place: The 2nd bedroom is separated from the rest of the apartment, what is not mentioned in the description. It's quite dark and not a nice place to sleep in at all. One of the main reason for booking this place were for us the two bedrooms, so we were quite disappointed, that one is super nice and the other one just isn't. But all in all the rooftop beats everything - although it looks a bit nicer on the pictures than in reality - and we would probably book the apartment again, since it's still good value for the...
Read morePlus Ultra Apartment 20473/2023. We stayed at this smashing, comfortable 3rd floor apartment for 12 nights. The view from the panoramic windows across the port is stunning - always something interesting going on to watch, from a huge cruise ship to little pilot boats buzzing around. The beds were comfortable and the apartment was clean with modern decor. The apartment was perhaps a little smaller than the photographs suggest with the kitchen basically in the hallway. Be aware that there is no oven and only two hotplates so cooking is restricted - all the more reason to visit the excellent eateries nearby! We particularly enjoyed El Cafe de Ana (in the street behind the apartment towards Plaza de San Juan de Dios). Two pages of brunches on offer all for 8.50 euros each! I cannot fault the staff at Aquiler Vacacional - they were so responsive and helpful. The apartment is only a 10 minute walk from the train and bus stations and overlooks the tourist information office in the gardens below. It is ideally situated in the old town of Cadiz and as such all the interesting places to visit are no more than 20 minutes walk away. My only negative comment would be that it is noisy at night, as it is only single-glazed and there is quite a lot of traffic noise as well as noise from nearby bars until late. The building across the narrow street is being renovated and workment begin banging, drilling and shouting at 8 am! If you're a light sleeper, be warned! Despite this I wouldn't hesitate to stay again and we fell in love with Cadiz - a most charming,...
Read moreWe stayed in Apartamento la Leyenda de Cadiz from 03JUN - 06JUN and it was an awesome stay!
There was excellent communication from the team, and we checked in by ourselves with no issue even though it was our first time using Bluetooth locks! Very futuristic!
Cadiz is small but the location in the old town was still brilliant, there were supermarkets to get water and essentials from nearby as well as countless cafés and bars a 5 minute walk away, and of course the rest of the old town is not much further walking.
What i loved most about the apartment was the attention to details - the towels were thick, big and fluffy, not the usual thin small ones you get in a hotel or apartment that don't dry a whole body. The TV was large and modern - it was a Smart TV so we could open apps and connect with news from back home, plenty of plug sockets including by the bed to charge your phone etc. Those small details that make a big difference from being an OK place to an amazing one.
And of course the size of the apartment was wonderful, great tall ceilings and all the kitchen and bathroom fixtures were modern and well kept. It wasn't shabby at all.
Perfect place in Cadiz and we would return in a heartbeat!
Also, we loved the two cats across the street who were talking to us through the windows! So cute, even though one of them was...
