Carpe Diem Cadaqués — Hotel in Cadaqués

As other reviewers have said, the suites have a lovely view. However, if there are none left or your budget does not run to one, it does not really matter and there is the same view from the pool and from the deck by the pool where you can sit and relax whenever you want.||Our suite was very big (2 bedrooms) with a lovely balcony and superb view of the town. Kitchen equipment was limited but fine for preparing breakfast and light meals. ||The pool is fairly big and was the only place we stayed (mid-April) in Catalonia where the pool had any water in and was heated. There is a bar where you can have drinks and lunch next to the pool - we ate there one day and the food was good. There is also a tennis court and you can borrow rackets and balls from reception. ||The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Best of all is the location - it is a 10-15 minute walk into town (and a 10 minute walk to Portlligat to Dali's house) but that means that you are in a lovely quiet area above the main part of the town. I stayed at Carpe Diem for two nights and we wish we could stay one or two more. I was there with my family as we all enjoyed it. All the staff was very nice and helpful, especially Mandi at the reception and Robert at the restaurant.

The apartment was spacious and fully equipped. It also had a nice terrace. The swimming pool area is very nice, with a terrace overlooking the sea, from which you can have a drink, or a meal, while enjoying a stunning view.

We had some poke bowls at lunch and some food from their Japanese menu at dinner, and everything was delicious.

The location is about 8-10 walk from the see and the main tourist area of the village. Therefore, you can enjoy the quiet of the resort while still being very close to tons of restaurants and other activities.

They also have an EV charger. It was very slow, but we left our car connected overnight and in the morning it was fully charged.

WiFi did not always work. Hope they fix it.

Overall wonderful location in Cadaques - the views are breathtaking from the pool area. It is almost at the very top of the town and while it is a quick walk into town, it is quite a hike to get back to it. We enjoyed the exercise, but if you are out of shape or have any trouble walking, be warned! The restaurant was just ok, we ate there one night - amazing service though. The rooms were large and clean - 2 bathrooms was a nice tough. Beds were comfortable as well. Living area was spacious, just a very small couch for a 3 bedroom place, so there wasn't a lot of comfortable places to sit. The only disappointment was the wifi - it didn't work 90% of the time, so that was quite disappointing when we were trying to research restaurants and things to do - they said they tried to fix it but it...
