Camping Calpemar, this is a camp site you will not regret visiting, it's a beautiful site with all gravel hardstanding pitches, separated by shrubs for privacy, with fresh water and grey water outlets on the pitch, in the summer heat the site personal put green shades over the whole of each pitch, so lots of shade if you need it, the facilities are great, with plenty of hot water all day long, they're cleaned several times a day and all covid restrictions are adhered to where necessary, there are two areas for washing crocks and also a laundry for your clothes washing, there are 3 washing machines and a tumble dryer (I don't think you'll need the dryer with the summer heat) the staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble, they have extensive knowledge of the surrounding area's, so if you like hiking or walking, they will point you in the right direction for easy, medium or hard walks, the site has a beautiful pool with plenty of seating area, with a bar at hand, Magda will be there to serve you with anything from a simple beer to a full blown meal, the food is lovely, lovingly cooked by Magda or Claudia or Joanna, there is live music once a week, normally Fridays, the site is situated on the edge of the town with an easy flat walk to the harbour, or a slightly uphill trip to the old town, which is stunning, with plenty of Tapas bars and restaurants to choose from, opposite the camp site is a large supermarket, slightly expensive, but great for everyday things, or a 10 min walk to a Lidl store, there is also a KFC and Macdonald's 1 minute from the site entrance, beach is a 5 minute walk out of the site, with its beautiful golden sands just waiting for you, there are plenty of sunbeds to hire with umbrella's for shade, the sea is calm and warm, all in all, you will not stay at a better camp site on the Costa Blanca, with the staff of Alberto (big boss) Nuria, Tamara, Susazzna and Maria all helping to make your stay exactly what you want, relaxing and enjoyable 👍 book Camping Calpemar, you will not regret it..
P.S: there is building work being carried out very near to the site, but, its not a problem for us, the positives of this site far outweigh the negatives of the building work, this is the best site on the Costa Blanca, book it very soon or you will miss out on what is the best site ever..
Only negative: it's now difficult with new rules from the big bosses (not the reception) to understand the pricing and which pitches are ACSI, but, still not a problem if you want to stay on the friendliest and best camp site...
Read moreFantastic location to town and beaches. Walking distance to everywhere. Supermarket opposite. Level pitch and clean. Quite small to get on and off. Facilities adequate. A little surprised to read reviews about the site being silent at 12 midnight. We must have stayed in a very different part of the site. We had noisy neighbours on Sunday night who stayed up, loud shouting/singing/playing games in the middle of the street until 1am. (Not all three nights i admit but even one night was enough) Also kids running and cycling up and down roads screaming until 12. Dangerous speeds on bikes. Security stopped the kids running/cycling at 12 but didn't ask the family opposite to quiet down at all. We just thought this was normal for the site to allow so we didn't say anything but I think it was just a careless family. Also there were tents surrounding us with TV on blaring out loud until 12.30am. The site should implement an 11pm quiet time. 10pm too early perhaps but anything later than 11pm is obtrusive. So peace and quiet we didn't experience but the location makes it worth it. Suggestion- tents should be in one area and motohomes/campers in another. Because when it's hot and windows are open in van, we can hear the tents clearly as if they are in the van...
Read moreHi, Camping Call_Mar is about a 15 min walk away from the beach. There doesn't seem to be any site locally that are directly on the beach. It's a smallish site with 3 size graded pitches, ours is by far the largest & there are only at 7 of these Xl pitches available. However the lage pitches would suit suit most & even the small were larger than a lot we have seen in Europe. Mainly French, Belgian with equal German, English & others making up the rest. The hosts go out of their way to ensure you have a happy stay & will have a go at arranging just about anything for your true concierge) and throw a smile in too! Nothing, yes nothing is too much trouble for the excellent staff. Of course there are niggles as with all these places but I'm sure you will not find fault with the exemplary way the staff look after their guests. We have been here 6 weeks with a further 5 weeks or so to go, my next report will be at the end of our stay & I hope it's along the same lines as this one? There have been a couple of fellow campers complaining about excess electricity and Wi-Fi charges, I will follow up on this when I have a completed my stay. To date have had no such worries. Do we tend to complain at systems we don't have in the UK? 2nd...
