Dear Hotel Cala Fornells!
I am writing in direct reference to the hotel review posted yesterday. All guests and potential visitors to your establishment should be aware that the hotel has seriously violated the privacy of other guests. In my specific case, Hotel Cala Fornells published a review on Google concerning a different hotel — namely, our well-managed property in South Tyrol — despite never having made a reservation or stayed there. This behavior clearly reflects the management style of your hotel and is highly unprofessional. The Google entry in question has now been reported to the Italian Postal Police for investigation. With emphasis,
Walter Gasser Yes, the view from Hotel Cala Fornells is breathtaking – but sadly, it’s the only thing that feels 4-star.
Our room was old, worn-out, and not properly cleaned upon arrival. I’m also quite sure I didn’t receive the Deluxe room I had booked.
On two days, housekeeping didn’t show up at all. The service was extremely poor – too few staff, many clearly untrained. When I asked for a latte macchiato, the manager told me, “Our waiters don’t know what that is.”
Breakfast was the exact same every single day – no variety, nothing fresh. The breakfast room is outdated, and the street-side tables are crammed together uncomfortably.
One of the worst moments: we waited 40 minutes for two hamburgers on the rooftop terrace, only to get bland, unseasoned patties. When we sent them back, the young waitress actually laughed at us. Totally unprofessional.
If you think this is acceptable when you reserved and paid in full in November 2024... well, it’s truly shameful.
After everything that happened, management should’ve at least refunded part of the stay – but well, I guess this is Mallorca...
Bottom line: If you care only about the view and can ignore poor service, dirty rooms, and food that lacks any love – this might be for you.
But if you expect real quality for your money, look elsewhere.

Read moreFabulous hotel breathtaking views 1st class service This is an elegant classic hotel with wonderful Spanish charm and flair. It is immaculately clean with well appointed bedrooms having the most beautiful views of the cove and bay. Fresh water is provided daily in the room along with pool towels and there is a safe and small refrigerator. The beds are extremely comfortable and the room serviced daily. The cove in front is rocky but has a good stretch of sand and the water is a beautiful turquoise and crystal clear and clean. Great snorkeling too. Sunbeds are €6.50 each There is a lovely terrace for lunch and evening drinks with gorgeous views and minimal passing traffic. Great rooftop pool with the most amazing views. The food in the dining room is varied and excellent quality with plenty of choices both hot and cold at breakfast and dinner. Both buffet and a la carte are available. What makes this hotel one of the best I have ever stayed in is the truly outstanding and exceptional service. From the girls on reception who organised an extra shuttle run for me when I had to go to the pharmacy and couldn't get a taxi to the ladies who cleaned the rooms etc to the wonderful staff in the dining room. I have a severe allergy to mushrooms and the restaurant manager Josete was an absolute superstar by letting me know each evening which dishes to avoid. His kindness and helpfulness were greatly appreciated. I have stayed in many 1st class hotels both in Europe and the rest of the world but this is by far one of the best for beautiful location and superb service. I didn't want to leave and will...
