Restaurante La Gritta — Restaurant in Calvià

Has been one of the worst dinner experiences in a long time. The only positive thing about the place is the views but unfortunately all the rest is a big disappointment. We arrived at 21, there was a table at the first row and when we asked for it, they said that it was reserved 1 week ago. I mentioned that I also did the reservation a week ago then they said the reservation would come at 22 and we should leave the table. So, we didn't want to sit there not to be in a rush but later we observed that noone came at 22. We asked for a salad and 2 fish dishes, one grilled turbot and sole fish. After 1 hour, the fish dishes were still not there. When we reminded they made a weird explanation and half an hour later brought the "turbot", which didn't look or taste like a turbot fish. The sole fish also came and the waiter was preparing it then it disappeared. When we asked what happened, he said that it was raw and went back. We canceled the fish mentioned our disappointment to the lady which also didn't appear to be very suprised or interested..anyway, seems that "kitchen...

Excellent views however foodies will be disappointed. Would recommend to travelling by car, especially if you have mobility issues. The scallop starter was the best dish, well presented with balanced flavours and good execution. Unfortunately the deep fried baby squid lacked texture and seasoning. The padron peppers were pleasant although it’s difficult to make these badly. The prawn main course was also flavoursome without being spectacular. The real disappointment was the fish and shellfish grill platter which consisted of over cooked Queenie scallops, overcooked mussels and clams, prawns which had not been properly prepared, a sea bass with soggy skin full of bloodline and an over cooked half lobster. Die Terrasse mit Blick auf das Meer ist wunderschön und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Das Essen ist gehoben und schmeckt vorzüglich, bis auf das Dessert... Das war an beiden Abenden nicht gut. Abgesehen davon wird einem vorne weg immer ein Ajoli, Oliven und Brot Appetizer unbestellt serviert, was sich als netter Gruß aus der Küche und aufs Haus darstellt, findet sich hinterher wieder teuer auf der Rechnung, ein NO-GO! Dem Koch möchte ich ein Kompliment aussprechen, er wäre mit seinen Fähigkeiten wo anders besser aufgehoben. Der Service ist zum Teil sehr Inkompetent und unfreundlich. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der großgewachsene ältere Herr, der uns an beiden Abenden unverschämt behandelt hat. Diese Person hat in der Gastronomie mit Gast-Kontakt nichts verloren. Die Dame im Trio verbreitete dagegen immer gute Laune und der nette Herr mit dem Kuchenwagen hatte immer ein Lächeln auf dem Gesicht. Die Preise sind nicht im entferntesten angemessen, um in dieser Liga mitspielen zu können hapert es an vielen Stellen. Zusammengefasst: Location, Vorspeise und Hauptgerichte Spitzenklasse, Dessert, Service und Preis-Leistung nicht ausreichend. Keine Empfehlung.

Meine Partnerin und ich haben uns heute ein weiteres Mal ins La Gritta begeben, diesmal allerdings um Mittag zu Essen. Der Service bestehend teils aus anderen Personen, war ähnlich unprofessionell wie beim Abendessen. Unser bekannter "nicht bestellter" Appetizer war auch wieder präsent, dieses Mal wurde er sogar nach dem erstmaligen ablehnen, kurze Zeit später wieder serviert... Worauf sich die Bedienung die Frage gefallen lassen musste, ob der Appetizer aufs Haus geht, denn wir haben ihn auch dieses Mal nicht bestellt. Nach einem Versuch als ahnungslose und der Deutschen und Englischen Sprache nicht mächtig zu sein, dann die Aufklärung, Nein, kein Gruß aus der Küche und wir müssten es sehr wohl bezahlen... Sie nahm es ein zweites Mal wieder mit. Weitere ärgerliche Details zum Service spare ich mir. Das Essen, leider nicht mehr warm, und scheinbar komplett ohne Salz bei beiden Gerichten. Die Portionen viel zu klein und bei meinem Gericht war Trüffel überhaupt nicht wahr zunehmen. Ich Senke meine Wertung weiter auf das Minimum, einen...
