I had high hopes for this "4star hotel" From the pictures and the previous reviews everything seemed like it was too good to be true...Arrival was average, had to ask which way to go to get to my allocated room (normally you are directed by a member of reception atleast)Arrived at my room (104) 1st floor. Opened the door to a bright airy room..my first thoughts were this is lovely. Dropped my bags and took a shower and that's where things started to go downhill...let me explain...Now I am aware this is not 5 star but if im being totally honest I have stayed in cleaner 2 star hotels...The attention to detail from the cleaners is just way below par for a 4 star establishment.Shower door covered in limescale (easy to put right with a bit of Elbow grease)Mold and nasties around the outer edge of the shower door (see pics)Splash marks all over the tiles at the side of the sink (like old toothpaste marks)Sink wouldn't drain properly (seemed to be blocked) Skirting boards definitely hadn't been given a wipe for a good few weeks/monthsAll standard/basic stuff that you would expect from any hotel and certainly from a 4 star one or am I being picky? Then there was the call to reception to ask for some milk so I could make a coffee (kettle is provided in room) Receptionist said they don't have fresh milk only 'powdered sachets' of the most vile tasting milk I've ever had (think baby milk/gone off normal milk) Apparently the restaurant was closed so they could not access it to get some fresh milk?Receptionist advised me to go to the supermarket..which is a 25 minute walk from the hotel 🤦♀️As it happens there is a coffee machine outside the reception entrance so I found myself nipping downstairs to buy one from there. (Not the most convenient but we move forward)I had read that there was a rooftop restaurant in the flyer as advertised but when I asked about it apparently it is no longer there? The restaurant is only open at breakfast times so no food is available not even snacks? However they advertise room service so unsure how that works? Outdoor pools closed which is fine but you couldn't even sit on the loungers hence....nowhere to sit outside the hotel itself.Such a shame that all these little things build and in turn let it down as a 4 star advertised hotel. Now for the positives...The view from the room of the sea is beautiful It is literally across the road from miles of sandy beachesThere are a couple of lovely restaurants nearby that are open from 12 noon for brunch/dinner and reasonably priced. The area itself is super quiet and feels safe enough as a...
Read moreI recently stayed at Masd Mediterrani Hotel Apartments Spa, and my experience was unfortunately disappointing due to several issues:
Food Quality: The quality of the food was very poor. The breakfast buffet was particularly substandard, with limited and uninspiring options. If you're planning to stay here, I strongly recommend booking without any meal options.
Inconsistent Pricing: The coffee prices varied inexplicably—1.30 euros in the morning but 2 euros in the afternoon. This inconsistency felt unreasonable and frustrating.
Breakfast Coffee Issue: The coffee machine at breakfast did not produce good coffee. On one occasion, I requested a double espresso from the waitress; she kindly provided it the first time but informed me the second time that it wasn’t free. This inconsistency and lack of transparency were disappointing.
EV Charging Issues: The electric vehicle charging stations were unreliable and poorly maintained. Multiple times, the machines swallowed coins without providing the service, which was both inconvenient and frustrating.
Wi-Fi Issues: The Wi-Fi connection in my room was extremely poor, making it nearly impossible to stay connected. This was unacceptable given modern standards for hospitality.
Tourist Tax Overcharge: I had already paid the tourist tax online prior to my arrival, yet I was asked to pay it again during check-in. This lack of coordination was both unacceptable and disappointing.
Dirty Kitchen Utensils: I booked a room with a small kitchen expecting convenience, but the kitchen utensils provided were dirty and not properly cleaned. This was highly unhygienic and unacceptable.
Massage Service: I had a massage at the hotel, but it was a complete disappointment. The masseuse had no experience, making it a waste of money. To make matters worse, better and more affordable options are available outside the hotel.
Dinner Menu: The dinner menu changes weekly, which might appeal to some, but I found it inconsistent and not up to expectations during my stay.
Overall, while the hotel has potential due to its location and facilities, the numerous issues I experienced overshadowed any positives. Significant improvements are needed in food quality, service consistency, facility maintenance, and staff training to provide a satisfactory guest experience. Until these issues are resolved, I would recommend exploring other options or booking without meal packages if you choose...
Read moreThe hotes has two buldings. We stayed in the secondary building, only with appartements. The building is really on the other way of the road and you need to walk to on the street to go to the receptio / restaurant. The are two type of appartaments in this building, appartament (in reality is a Studio) and appartament superior with a separated bedroom. Wee boocked an appartament so we recived a studio. Attention, for the appartaments, is not a real hotel service, like every day. The change the towels twice a week and the lingen one a week. Also the clean the room only twice a week. I was obliged to take the gardbage out, ON THE ROAD,every day, because we have a baby and we use diapares. The room is from tge 2000. The furniture is old and used. The air is the room is very heavy an smels like tabac. The AC vents are full on dust. The soundproof is very low you heard everything from the street. You can take the food from restaurant in the room, but the DON’T have a room service. So in my case I walk every day, with the food on a tray, not evean in a proper delivery box, on the street, from the main bulding to the secondary. You also need to return the dishes at the restaurant, despite the information recived at the reception. The location in great, but pay attention because there are no shops nearby. The is a Lidl and Carrefour, but is a 40 minutes walk distance. The are plenty restaurants on the promenade, not expensive and with good food. The beach is great. I hope the main building is better...
