My 5 year old son and I stopped here for dinner.
When ordering our food...I pointed to my son and said "for him, the chicken fingers" (referring to the childs meal as on the menu which comes with chips and pasta) . 15 mins later a big bowl of chicken fingers arrive with nothing else - not even cutlery. So I asked a few minutes later when she came back around where the rest of his meal was, the girl said should it have been the kids menu? I said yes. She wanders off. Another 10 minutes pass and my steak arrives and I order a glass of red wine and an apple juice. I waited a few minutes before tucking in but no wine appears, so I being to eat really slowly - 10 mins later apple juice arrives and I said I was waiting for wine. Another 10 minutes pass and I ask for the wine again and it turns up a few minutes later after I've eaten 75% of my food and it's cold anyway. I ask for the rest of my sons food and the waiters like oh? You wanted the kids menu? So then wait probably another 10-15 mind for them to cook pasta - and a whole adult portion arrives. My 5 year old eats approx 20% of it and then we order a brownie........ 30 minutes pass and at this point ,I'm thoroughly frustrated at how much waiting I've had to do and ask wheres the brownie and the waiter is like oh it's not come out?! Meanwhile my child is asking to go to bed and no longer wants the brownie - we have been there 2 hours at this point. I asked for the bill when the brownie finally arrived and discover I'm being charged for an adults pasta and an adults portion of chicken fingers - only 6€ more than the child's meal but after everything, I wasn't prepared to accept this one.
I explained the whole situation to the manager and he said I should have specified "child's menu" when I ordered because they offer it as an adult portion too and because we had them we had to pay for them but because I waited so long for the dessert, they would take that off the bill.
The restaurant wasn't even half full which I pointed out when he tried to claim it was busy in the kitchen but there wasn't much to say when I pointed out it took 20 minutes and 2 reminders for a glass of wine.
Very disappointing experience. Plus, the food...
Read morehate doing this, but unfortunately, I have to give 3 stars. Let’s start with something positive though. The staff is very friendly, even if not everyone speaks English :) Now, onto the details. We visited the restaurant as a group of four. We decided to order patatas bravas as a starter to share, and it was a great choice - both the potatoes and the sauce were delicious, and the portion was generous - perfect for four people before the main course. Unfortunately, the taste of the patatas wasn’t enough to save the rest of my experience. I ordered the PATRONA burger with meat, guacamole, cheddar cheese, tomato, bacon, and pico de gallo. It looked good at first glance, but sadly the taste didn’t follow through. The meat was quite badly burnt (almost black on the outside and very dry inside), while the bacon was completely raw. There was barely any guacamole - practically undetectable - and the same goes for the pico de gallo. The cheddar cheese was noticeable, but it was clearly very poor quality. And the worst part? I bit into something hard in the meat, like a piece of bone - which seems absurd in ground meat. That’s where my meal ended. However, the rest of my group ordered different burgers - two Little Boys and one Little Harry. Their opinions were more positive than mine. Two people said it was an interesting dish, but still far from the best burger they’ve ever had, and one person really enjoyed theirs. They all mentioned the lack of sauce - the amount was minimal - but overall, they said it was okay. I’m giving 3 stars because my burger was just bad and I wouldn’t want to eat it again, but I also believe we could’ve ended up in a much worse place. This restaurant is, in my opinion, very average - but thanks to the patatas and the friendly service, and slightly better feedback from my friends, I think 3 stars are...
Read moreFood poisoning from undercooked fish. Unfortunately while visiting a friend we went to this restaurant. She lives in the area and had been the night before. Perhaps it was the peak Saturday lunch hour, but service was slow, the staff were very rude. One guy actually shouted at my friend when she asked if we could move table and demanded she sit back down and stay where he put her. Only to then shout beautiful at her in Spanish when we left?! The vegan burger was cold and sloppy we sent it back but it was just the same. Having had the same thing before my friend knew it was not supposed to be like that. The salad was underwhelming and last but not least, my fish was underdone. It was difficult to tell, as there was so mich tomato sauce with the cod. Obviously I asked my friend to speak to the waiter about this (in Spanish) as I was concerned it would make me ill. He said it was fine and that I would not get ill. Suffice to say hours later, I was very unwell with a headache, nausea, lack of appetite, fever and I eventually threw up the fish. I would really recommend that you go to any restaurant but this one!! Unless you want to be ill and harassed by rude waiting staff. Just to add my friends are both fluent in Spanish, so there was no issue with...
