Toxic, ploarised, disrepectful. How this hotel has nearly 50 percent positive reviews I do not at all understand. I have spoken to the people of this city, the boss is well known as a difficult and unpleasant woman. She will take your money, your dignity, your rights as a customer. Where she puts them, I do not know. I can only imagine. The staff are mostly wonderful but the boss, toxic, the air, toxic when she is there. It cannot be easy to work there. Good luck if you fail to heed my considered, sincere and genuine warning. I will feel terrible for the staff if this hotel falls but, they will find a better place to work, to be, to exist. The boss couldn't find peace if it was 99 balls in a ballpit of one hundred. Peace, love, respect. Fawlty Towers has had a baby with Bates Motel. It's not a comedy.
I swear on my honour this review is a genuine product of experience, This is not a shill review. AS for the 49 percent, who...
Read moreI had never heard of the Asturias region of Spain so thought I would give it a whirl. So glad I did. We stayed in Gijon, literally 30 mins by coach from the airport. The hotel was 2 minutes walk from a fabulous beach and marina. The town itself is clean and full of bars, shops and restaurants. The old town is fabulous, cobbled streets and a large square backing on to the bay and next to a beautiful green park with views over the mountains. Every where you walk in Gijon there is another square with pavement cafés, where people come along and play the guitar and generally chill out. Gijon is a town which produces cider so most of the bars and restaurants serve the local cider which is very refreshing. They serve it in glasses poured from a great height. Lots of the Spaniards spoke English but the only English voices we heard in 3 days were at the...
Read moreSo pleased we decided on this hotel for our 1 night stay in Gijon. Good location in a really nice area. Staff very helpful at checking in , marking on the map local places to see and eat. The room , although not large , was modern , clean and comfortable. The wifi excellent - best we have had in 2 weeks of travelling. Nice cafe at entrance of hotel. We made use of the hotel underground parking - extra cost. We were recommended the restaurant 2 streets away. It was the highlight of our holiday so far. You must experience it yourself as never seen such a busy popular place with great food , service at very reasonable price. Back to the hotel again it can't be faulted , price , cleanliness , rooms and service. Would be very pleased to...
