So this is a tale of two halves with positives and clear areas for improvement. Review is from 2-13 August - family of 4 with 2 teens in two rooms. Delay in post due to issues with hotel which I wanted logging so others don’t have same problems with room allocation - I think this is now sorted . ||Check in was quick by a very pleasant lady . Arrived 10pm . No welcome drink offered to us which was a pity .They opened a cold buffet 10.30 which we popped into and to be fair it was a good offering when often at that time you’re lucky to get a sandwich ( we actually decided to go out as there wasn’t much for the teens ). Wrist band was fantastic as it had a key chip on and also could be used to charge items to room ( more about that later )||Disappointed with the unattractive room view from both sides at first which was by the basket ball court and looked onto the doors of other rooms and the road but we hadn’t paid for as the hotel was more of a base on this holiday . My advice would be to pay in this particular hotel as some of the non view rooms are a bit iffy ( if you can afford it ! ) || We did get two rooms together which was very pleasing with two teens and noted they did do this with other family groups which is good ! The rooms , like most, were near the pool and the terrace downstairs was big with a table and couple of chairs , drying rack too . We felt the room was of a very good size for 2 ( 4 would have been a squeeze with the sofa bed ). Like others have said , I did feel that one of our rooms smelled of damp throughout the stay. No ants seen , the odd cockroach around . Bit of wear and tear in room but adequate and plenty of toiletries were welcomed - comb , toothbrush , paste , shampoo , conditioner , shower gel , hand wash , body cream , shower cap, razor which is above the norm for 4 star . Excellent storage both in room and bathroom and nice to have two sinks . Safe is 2 euros a day . Not something usually encountered as we’ve never had to pay for years anywhere ! ||There was a bottle of water left in room . My advice regarding stocking your fridge ( lovely size and beautifully cold ) is head to the spar in the shopping centre to the right at the end of the road as it’s v well priced ( quite a bit cheaper than the shops on the main road and voila - you have your own lovely “Sparbar “!) ||Room cleaning was adequate but not thorough. Our room door and patio door were broken on arrival as was the air conditioning but all issues promptly rectified when reported - however the room shouldn’t have been presented with these issues, particularly from a security point of view . Room towels were only changed once in 11 nights ( well we got a second set delivered in one room but the first set not taken in all this time ).To only change pool towels once in 11 nights is also not great .The pool towels were great quality . sheets not changed at all in this time - not ideal in a hot pool/beach type holiday and again never encountered ever . There’s a difference between sustainability and saving money and this to me is more the latter. ||Breakfast was very good - lots of coffee machines with great coffee and a very fancy hot chocolate machine . Good choice in the breakfast buffet indeed and the people working there are very friendly and work tirelessly to keep it stocked and clean . Omelette station. Lots of pastries and yummy treats to satisfy a sweet tooth . Cava every morning if you wanted it and lovely smoothies .||Be super careful as we knew we could swap lunch and dinner on half board . This must ONLY be in the buffet as we found out to our peril at check out when we were charged for using the snack bar which is only for all inc guests- discussions about this were not purposeful either - no receipt at lunch for drinks meant we racked up a food bill unknowingly ! We only went to the buffet once for lunch but we didn’t feel the need to return as it didn’t do it for us . We apparently needed a ticket to do this - not clear even after asking for clarity from a waiter and on reception when arriving so still puzzled at the set up and what is/isn’t allowed ! We had one meal in Mama Mia of an evening which was enjoyable as it was part of the package . Good portions and nice choices but for us , bed and breakfast here would be the recommended board and based on queues for drinks I was glad we weren’t all inc .||Two pool areas . We only went to the quiet pool which was peaceful and calm . Pools are very deep at 1.90m in the quiet pool and at deepest 1.50m in children’s area main pool . As a result , pools on cloudy days were quite chilly so I can only imagine what they’re like in cooler months! Lifeguards all seem to have own rules here but were all very attentive indeed . One day was no jumping in ! Yet the previous ten were ok. There needs to be a common policy amongst staff here so guests know expectations instead of being told off! The overall ambience around the quiet pool is one of peace and relaxation with a few older children playing- the odd guest did spoil this- if you were there when we were … Inflatables and ball games allowed when we were there . Guests passing floats on to each other was lovely. Met some lovely families and couples by the pool who chatted. The other pool was full of families having fun.||Overall impression of pool areas was good but certainly needing attention regarding maintenance although I did see some happening . They weren’t the cleanest with stained, uncomfortable sun beds and dirty floors thus transferring to the pool and dirt back to our room . My pool shoes looked like I’d walked in mud some days! There is a lot of green /yellow stuff around edges of the pools which staff can’t seem to get rid of but it wasn’t from lack of trying from staff they simply couldnt reach it .Wouldn’t recommend white swim wear based on how inflatables were discolouring quickly. Pool bars shut very early at 5.30.||The sunbed situation was - if nothing else - amusing . You could easily put towels down at 6am for several hours until the towel lady comes round ticketing or if you happen to put towels on and go to brush your teeth for two minutes at the point she comes which wasn’t at the same time - you’re ticketed ( this did happen to me ). The policy was not working and some people put towels out after she had been and left all day without ever going to beds which we saw ! It was good that more beds were put out when there was a lack of. Unless manned fairly and continuously , a ticket situation is pointless as this was ! ||Bar upstairs was very pleasant with outside and inside seating and lovely marble floors and open until 12.30am ; the little seating area off of reception was nice for a coffee which i did take out of the buffet . Can’t comment on any entertainment both in the day or evening as weren’t around then but from the notice boards it seemed like plenty going on including foam parties , inflatables , aqua bikes and gym ( this was August )|| We were presented with welcome chocolates and free drinks voucher approx 15 mins before check out from a man who barged in immediately after knocking ( to me freshly out the shower- the joke is he panicked and closed the door to immediately open it again ) followed by a woman 5 mins later who barged in too and started opening drawers and cupboards shouting into her walkie talkie as we stood quite shocked and confused ( all we’d done was forgot to put two saucers from one room to another after using them in one , which we apologised over as we’d used them one day as plates but really to barge into a room and bathroom with no explanation is appalling ! Once she got them she stormed out after wafting them at us ! ||There’s a definite lack of professionalism at times from staff across the hotel and it concerns me how many others had potentially been into our room when we weren’t there. A further issue being total lack of communication between the hotel manager , some contractors, guest relations, the rep and the reception staff not communicating with each other over our room location due to noise from a lift being built right outside our room waking us between 7 and 7.30 am every weekday morning and kindness as an apology taken away.||Jet2 were very helpful regarding the above and the rep - Annabel for this hotel is professional and very helpful- I feel she’s an excellent ambassador for Jet2 . As a result , Jet2 still remains my favourite travel company to book with as issues weren’t with them . ||Corralejo is beautiful and I would highly recommend the resort .The hotel is in the perfect location to explore . Id return to the resort but not the hotel. Shame too that replies on trip advisor look like cut and paste jobs instead of being sincere wanting to act upon people’s reviews..||The jet2 rating is 4 star - id rate...
Read morey partner and I stayed at the H10 Ocean dreams between 06/07/2018 till 13/07/2018, it is by far one of the best hotels we have stayed in. We would certainly stay here again.
We arrived at about 2300 hours, having had our outbound flight delayed, we were warmly greeted by reception staff and offered a complimentary glass of Cava and/or drink of our choice. Due to missing the evening meal because of the delayed flight, the hotel staff kindly left sandwiches and snack items in the room for us to tide us over to breakfast the following morning.
We paid for a deluxe room and were very impressed by it. The room was good size with a lovely super-king bed. My partner and I had a fantastic night sleep every night. There was plenty of hanging wardrobe space and a Nespresso coffee machine with in the room was a nice added extra. There was no bin in the main bedroom, only a small toiletry bin in the bathroom. The balcony was a very good size, however the plastic table and chairs was a bit of a let down and didn't seem to keep with the "Boutique" feel of hotel. The shower was a very good size and was powerful. The "his and hers" sink was a nice feature. Towels and bathrobes etc to a good standard and were replaced daily (if needed). There was a safe in room, but a charge of approx. 12 Euros a week which was a little cheeky. Mini bar in the room stacked with the usual goodies. There is no iron or ironing board in the room and once again there was a charge for using this. It was 20 Euros although it was refunded on return.
We stayed half-board and found the food at the H10 Ocean Dreams of excellent quality. Buffet breakfast with a choice of various breads, cheese, meats, fruits, cereal,= etc, and the option to order a cooked breakfast including Spanish omelettes and pancakes. The evening meal is 'a la carte' with a buffet style desert. The menu is a good menu with various fish/meat and other options along with a small daily specials menu. Drinks were added on to the tab for our room. We hired a car and took a trip the one of the large supermarkets just outside of Corralejo.
This hotel is located just off the strip (high street) and opposite another H10 hotel which I believe is more for families. There are lots of restaurants, entertainment venues, designer shops and tourist shops along with 2 supermarkets very close by.
There is only one bar in the hotel and this is just off reception. Every night from 7.00 - 8.00pm there is a 2-for-1 deal on drinks which is worthwhile as the drinks seemed quite pricey. The bar staff are all so friendly and helpful and were always willing to make up a drink of your choice if not on the menu. The entertainment is very poor in the hotel as it is only 3 days a week and I didn't particularly like it. There are many more places to see entertainment outside the hotel on the strip. Pool This appeared to be a very quiet area. The pool and surrounding area was always very clean and tidy. Sunbeds however are very very close...
Read moreTravelled as a couple in our 40s for 1 week stay in Sep 2025. Absolutely perfect from start to finish. We were greeted with a very warm welcome on our arrival and found all staff to be very pleasant throughout our stay.||The all inclusive is very good and includes premium drinks. Breakfast was 7.30-10.30am, lunch was 1pm-3pm and evening dinner was 6.30pm-9.30pm. Food selection was good and very nice for all meals. Additionally the pool bar over the quiet pool served amazing food cooked fresh to order (try the chicken wrap) 12noon to 5pm. Only extra cost we incurred was the safe at €2 per night. Pool towels were provided and we could change these once during our stay for free. ||Complex is split into 2 parts, the side with the pool with the slides where the activities and daytime entertainment takes place and the quieter pool where you could hear a pin drop (perfect for relaxing). The hotel throughout is spotlessly clean and modern. Our room was over the quiet pool side as we had requested, the room was very modern and clean, though the beds were a little hard. Clean towels were provided every day. Rooms included fridge, kettle and coffee machine with supplies replenished daily.||We did have to get up early to get the good sun beds as people were putting towels out at 6.30am. Some people left their towels on the beds for most of the day without sitting on them and they were not removed, the hotel could police this better.||Location wise, the hotel is in a superb location with more bars, restaurants and shops than you could ever want literally at the end of the road. It is definitely worth taking a walk down into the square for the live music, the atmosphere down there is lovely.||Some reviews have complained about aspects of this hotel, and whilst I appreciate everyone has different hotel expectations, I have found the moaning reviews completely without merit. In my opinion this is a very very good 4 star hotel, and I would return without a doubt.||Thank you to all staff for making our holiday...
