Food and Hospitality Review - We actually found this Bar on the very last day of a week-long Holiday, and somehow managed to miss it on our two-week holiday earlier in the season !!! Without doubt this is clearly a British Bar, we actually prefer to dine local to the culture in this case Spanish of course - but I just had a total desire for Fish and Chips on this day and I have to say that Baby Jesus must have had the same idea, because this is where he guided us to!!! And Boy did Baby Jesus call it!!!! We ate everywhere on the island (we are a bit annoying like that) from Jandia to Cotillo from Jet2 inflight to Betancuria and this was by far the tastiest meal ever ever ever. Every single item was perfectly perfect in every single way - A proper Mary Poppins of a Meal. The range for Meat lovers and Vegetarians is perfect. And they do not in any way skimp on portion size. Hospitality - Well don't they just have the perfect hosts and bar staff?! Really. We mean it. Perfect. Well-mannered. Delightful. Interactive. Thank You. :) Shows - We didn't get a chance to see any of the shows, but we will in March for sure. Once again. Loved you and hope to love you more real soon. Tag and Cat XX

The place is very inconsistent. Yesterday the food was ok, today the chips were luke warm and the fish almost burned. But the worst thing was that I had a plastic object in my Chili…..i inspected it thoroughly, definitely a non-organic object that doesn‘t belong in food served to people. I told the waiter, she inspected it, too and found it strange and said she‘d ask the kitchen staff what happened. Shortly after a guy came out and told me the chef had told him that that object was a piece of pepper. What an unbelievably poor way of telling a customer to f… off. I know peppers in all varieties, and that thing was a hard plastic broken off from a bigger piece. It looked like a glass shard, but was a little softer. Whatever, i‘ve never experienced such indifferent and outrageous behaviour towards a paying client, trying to sell a piece of plastic for a pepper. They didn‘t even apologize nor did they deduct the meal from the bill nor did they give me a free drink or any sign of courtesy. We won‘t ever go and eat there again after this poor experience…

Great bar & restaurant. Always a popular place, and a very good choice of food. Went there on two separate occasions, once for lunch where I had a splendid Fish & Chips, and the other for an evening meal and drinks, watching the Drag entertainment show. On the first occasion, the food was out of this world, but the service seemed a little unfriendly. The waiter must have been in a bad mood. On the second occasion, the steak I ordered tasted horrible - like there was definitely something off with it. The rest of the party I was eating with had no problems, so I must have been the unlucky recipient. However the place was extremely busy that night and the service was terrible. Took ages for food to come, and the waitress kept getting things wrong. Seemed it was severely understaffed. Shame, because its a lovely, friendly looking place with great atmosphere and character, just let down by service mainly. (I'll put my steak down as a one-off because the Fish & Chips were gorgeous).

We visited as a family for lunch, I ordered the Caesar salad. Half way through the meal, I noticed a dead moth attached to a piece of lettuce in my salad. Wanting to avoid causing a scene in front of other customers close by, I took the salad to the bar to show the waitress who said “oh my god” and apologised and took the dish to the kitchen. I said I didn’t want a replacement as I felt sick. The waitress then came to our table, and without showing the same courtesy to deal with the issue politely in private, she said that they don’t have “those animals” in the kitchen, and it must have flown in to the salad whilst at the table. I then explained that the moth was already dead and flattened between pieces of lettuce (and was attached to an individual piece of lettuce) and that it did not fly into the dish, she began to laugh at us and said “well I don’t know how this could have happened.” I need to emphasise that I did not want to cause a scene or request compensation, all I asked was the salad to be taken off the bill and the rest of the table continued with their meal. I then asked to speak to a manager and went to the bar as the way this was dealt with was humiliating and appalling. I explained the situation to the barman (who may or may not have been the manager but presented himself as such) who admitted that as the lettuce was fresh, the insect could have come to them in the lettuce and he apologised and removed the salad from the bill. Not only is this disgusting to receive in food, but the way it was handled was awful and embarrassing. Having worked in hospitality I wanted to deal with this quietly but the waitress was extremely rude. This review could have been avoided, if it was handled politely I would not have left this review. But unfortunately, with multiple establishments offering the exact same food at the same prices along the main strip in Correlejo, I would advise anyone to avoid this at all costs and choose somewhere else with staff who show basic common courtesy to their customers, especially when preparing food to a poor standard...

We went as a family for Xmas dinner at the 4pm sitting. Tables not set or even cleared on arrival, finally got seated at 4.20pm starters arrived at 5pm soup was wrong waiter took back and brought out what I ordered…. Cold. Mains took a further 40mins to arrive, while waiting a waiter came through the pub with a load of mash from the restaurant opposite! no roast potatoes on the dinner.. when asked got told they ran out and the waiter laughed. 5 times we asked for more gravy, arrived when we had stopped eating. Main was warm, beef full of gristle, the veg contained at least half an onion, peppers, and Brussels?! 1830 pudding landed supposed to be warm Choc fudge cake with ice cream …. Nope cold lump of cake no ice cream. One waiter extremely rude throughout, people behind us left before the mains even arrived, they explained their problem (60 mins waiting for main) waiter waved her goodbye and laughed when they left.

No crackers on the tables, couldn’t hear any Christmas music on as the bar was so busy as was still open to the public even though all the tables were booked out. No drinks table service until the end of the meal, so the queues for the bar was ridiculous.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. Of all the staff on that day the English lady at the till was the one I felt for who ended up in tears because of all the complaints!!! It was the kitchens fault not the majority of the waiting staff.

Advice for 7 pints….. quit trying to cook from a tiny kitchen located next to the toilet, it doesn’t work the meals are awful DO...
