Really disappointed with this hotel. We are staying here at the moment. We booked 2 rooms with all inclusive. Do not be fooled by the pictures of the rooms on the website, they are not even remotely similar to the images on the site!! The hotel rooms are so dated and basic. Beds are so uncomfortable. The single room is like a shoe box, no balcony, barely enough space to walk around the bed it really is depressing no light , air conditioning does absolutely nothing to cool the room, door handle fell off the bathroom door and my daughter got locked in. The balconies are absolutely horrible, no privacy screen between any of them, you’re literally sitting right beside your neighbour. The view from our balcony was like nothing I have ever seen before, like being in the middle of the ghetto, filthy, old dilapidated buildings, rubbish strewn everywhere. No lifeguards on duty at the pools. Tv has very few channels in English, not smart tv. No fridge, no tea or coffee making facilities either. As for the All inclusive, oh my god I am not exaggerating when I say it was the worst I have ever had, do not book AI, it is not worth the extra. We are not picky eaters at all and we could not find one thing to eat, this is not an exaggeration we were so hungry, all of the food is stone cold, me and my daughter and niece survived on dry plain chips and even they couldn’t get them right, they were rock hard. Had to buy food in the chipper up the road as we were starving, I’ve never been on an all inclusive hotel where I could not find one thing to eat, so so disappointed, the snacks on offer at the pool bar were also stone cold and disgusting, cold calamari rings, rock hard chips, stone cold. A “toasted” ham and cheese sandwich that was so rock hard you could not even force yourself to eat it even though I was so hungry! Other than that, slices of fruit cake was the only other thing on offer by the pool! Absolutely disgraceful, not worth the extra money so do not get AI!! The area of el arenal is absolutely horrible, not suitable for children or for anyone other than teenagers who just want to drink day and night. My daughters iPhone 14 was stolen outside of bierkonig as she sat on the kerb, the staff of the pub were so rude to us when we asked them about it, they offered absolutely zero help, dismissed us and treated us like crap. The local people were the most unfriendly I have ever come across ever while on holidays ever. Dirty looks and comments, you are not wanted there and they make no secret of that either. I have been to a few different parts of Mallorca but this area is horrible, the prices of food, drinks and everything else is shockingly expensive. I will never come back to Mallorca because of this experience. I am bitterly disappointed, I am really struggling to find one thing positive to say about this hotel or area other than the cleaners and receptionists at the hotel were friendly, really lovely, The same cannot be said of the rest of the workers though. My daughter was told change when she wore a bikini top to the hotel restaurant, which is fair enough. However, the same treatment was not given to the Spanish locals in the restaurant, blatant discrimination. Family holiday was ruined. Do not waste your money...
Read moreThe hotel was situated in a residential area. The view from my balcony was of the residents homes (blocks of flats) which were poverty stricken and not in good condition. It was noisy outside and inside the hotel. Outside the hotel the residents were hammering and using an electric saw while i was trying to sleep. Inside the hotel the drunk, loud guests were slamming their doors every few hours until early hours of the morning which meant i never had a full nights sleep since i first checked in. The food was bad. Im not a fussy eater at all but i struggled to eat. I found myself eating more desert than actual food just to fill myself up .The food itself was overcooked and tasteless.Chicken was so dry i couldnt cut into it.And the fish & the veg was so overcooked it was mush. The carbonara sauce, mushroom and the tomato pasta sauces were like water and had no taste.Everyday i had a bad stomach so i ate out once a day at restaurants everyday just to get one good meal a day. This cost me more money than expected. Also the bed had one thin sheet to sleep with but the temperature drops on a night in September so i used the other sheet from the other bed and used towels to give me extra comfort.|The staff in the hotel were not friendly apart from the lady at the pool bar and the young lifeguard. They were very kind and friendly.|Dont be fooled by the 'all inclusive' if you drink alcohol. They offer 3 alcoholic drinks then you have to pay. I dont drink alcohol so i had soft drinks or 0% San Miguel which was €3.50 for a small can. (They are €1.50 at the shop opposite the hotel).|I do feel like ive been overcharged for such a low quality hotel. It was my first solo trip and the only good thing about it was the beach (which did have people walking up and down constantly screaming whatever they were selling which ruined the relaxing vibe) and the trip i made to Palma. |I didnt realise this particular part of Majorca is a party scene for the German & French.I spoke to 1 person who could speak fluent English.|The service was probably the worst service ive ever had in a hotel. No smiling, no kindness, no helpful attitude (apart from the lady and young boy at the pool bar). |They do clean the room everyday and provide fresh towels. But the bathroom is tiny and the shower holder isnt secure or positioned correctly and doesnt adjust so it was difficult to get showered. The hairdryer isnt strong enough so it took forever to dry my hair. Also dont forget you cant flush toilet paper.|I was aproached by a drunken guy who was staying in the room next to me.He was asking me to go for a drink and was very drunk.I politely declined but felt uncomfortable when entering my room. |Now i understand why the English are not favoured in Spain but i dont drink alcohol, I have manners and i smile at people and help if i see someone who needs it.What this trip has shown me is this culture is critisising us but they have shown no kindness to me. I wont be returning to this hotel and to be honest i wont return to Spain unless the hotel is a 5* with good reviews. What a...
Read moreWe came here as a last minute deal to get some late summer sun, and we got just that. We checked in in the early hours of the morning and it was relatively efficient, I think someone was being trained but he did a good job and we were in our room before too long. The room was basic but we didn't need anything else. I have questions over how the rooms are cleaned as after we went to the beach our room always had sand on the floor so it mustn't have been being swept. There was also always sand in the bath so don't think that was being cleaned either. The maid service was more of a bed making service. We liked the breakfast was a little later than other places we have been (8-10) as we are on holiday so some days wanted to lie in! The signs at meal times were not always correct, but it was pretty obvious what the foods were, not Michelin star but what you would expect for a budget hotel mass catering for a lot of people. I really enjoyed the 'special' dishes which were on the end each day, paella, pizza etc. Also that there was a sort of 'build your own pasta' with plain pasta, sauces and meats. We were disappointed the 2nd floor pool was in the shade for all of the morning as the 10th floor pool was closed. It did reopen during our stay and was lovely and quiet but there were no refreshments up there which was disappointing, we would have liked to stay hydrated whilst sunbathing so we had to bring our own drinks. The lifts, there are 4 and only 2 were ever working, we made around this as we were on the 9th floor, getting ready for the day then going down for breakfast so you don't need to return to your room is a good shout! All in all, the hotel was what we expected, the immediate area was a little run down but there are plenty of tat shops and bars and a good few restaurants on the beach front. If you can look past the reality of the financial situation living in a tourist town after COVID, go for it, you'll get a...
