We knew it was a 3 star (although TUI claimed it was a 3 star plus almost a 4 star it’s not). We were half board. ||Location wise it is 300m from the beach which is very nice . But what they don’t mention is that it’s a steep uphill walk along narrow streets. There is a good supermarket if you walk father up Eroski and a good bakers beside it. It’s 10 minutes drive from Palma airport just get a taxi don’t bother with the transfer services which were charging 3 times more. Good ice cream place rey de helado on way to the beach. ||One big note - the resort is hugely popular with German’s . Arenal is full of German bars, restaurants, techno clubs , bratwurst vendors and German beer gardens). The arenal area does not feel Spanish at all even the street vendors speak first in German. This is not an understatement the area is catered mainly for Germans and Dutch. It’s still a good resort to chill and enjoy but it’s worth mentioning. ||Good Points on Hotel:||It’s clean. Rooms are cleaned every day and the areas downstairs and Pool are spotless. ||Pool although not that big is nice and lifeguard is friendly and it has a tiny toddlers pool.||Food is adequate there was a notable breakfast that was nice (but often things like croissants didn’t appear at all) and a dinner but the rest we stayed with pasta. There was a lot of niche foods - pigs knuckles were on 3 of the nights we were there. No special service doing crepes or anything like that. ||Shower was OK ||Bad on hotel ||Room was small but we had a family room so they in effect plunked a small bed beside the double. That’s logical but meant that there was only tiny walking space on one side of the bed. It was cramped in fact I kept on slamming my head against the wardrobe getting out.||No utilities in room no fridge, no mini bar, no kettle , no hair dryers, no safe . We did ask could not hire anything for room at all. ||Bar was OK but pricey a lot of drinks far cheaper in the beach bars and restaurants. Was also very surprised they didn’t at least supply water for Dinner you had to pay for bottles. ||Staff were good but scant in number . Most of the time there was only one person on bar who did coffees/drinks and sandwiches. As they were so busy they were highly efficient but very blunt. I do not blame them as they had no time. |Apart from the lifeguard who was friendly and lot of the staff seemed to be very stressed. There was no real events staged by the hotel apart from a DJ but it was not popular, ||So yes the hotel is OK . In hindsight I would recommend it more to clubbers and a younger demographic who use the hotel as a base to...
Read moreWe had really good experience as a family of 3 (2+ 1.5yo) during the Easter 2025.
Staff: always welcomed and helpful. Reception, restaurant, bar, cleaning staff- we can not complain, everyone friendly and always smiling.
Rooms: bit old fashion but VERY CLEAN, everywhere-behind the bed, lamp, every single corner was touched i was impressed. Public spaces also- you can literally just 'eat from the floor'. Cleaning service everyday. New towels, tidy up, bed etc. There was no bad smell from the toilet like most likely in the Spain.
Food/restaurant: food was good. Lots of meat/fish/vegetarian food too. Desserts, pastries, fruits. The only issue is no free drinks for the evening meal (even for a water you need to pay extra, but the prices are not very high, few euros for a beer, couple more for a glass of wine etc.
Swimming pool: water bit cold but we managed to swimm anyway, is just beginning of the season so we did not expect warm water. Water was bright clean and around the swimmimg pool clean also. Free sun loungers to use.
Location: beach 5-7 min by walk, shop /supermarket around the corner, 2 minutes away a pharmacy, lots of bars/restaurants around.
There is no hairdryer in the room and was no option to borrow from reception (some comments say ask at the reception but they said no, sorry we do not have). And there is no car park for the guests- there is not many spaces on the roads close to the hotel so in the evening is a bit challenge - we get a ticket from Police for €185 for the parking which was a bit sad. Free big car park /ex building site is about 10-15 in by walk.
!For this price and this location is a great bergain! Two lifts, busy around meal time but available. Reception 24/7. Luggage storage.
Our little red head girl enjoyed stay also 😀 especially she loved one lady at the reception and a dark hair lady from the restaurant. Kisses here and there from her 😉 Well done...
Read moreTerrible experience before it even started unfortunately. Booked a family vacation via Booking for this hotel. Price is, indeed, very good vs surrounding resorts, and location good. Upon booking, room overview was saying TWIN ROOM - 2 TWIN BEDS. Out of precaution, I followed up afterwards with hotel if all ok, and they said room is with 3 individual beds, so 4th person can't be accommodated even though it's a baby. We tried everything, offerred a compromise to even pay on top and keep the room, to connect beds, as baby anyway sleeps with us. They absolutely didn't want to consider for a second. They were rude, not customer friendly, and repeating the same. We escalated with Booking, they understood the situation, tried to compromise with the Hotel, but without success. Hotel was insisting that we should cancel and relocate. First time in my life that hotel basically rejects guests without any alternative, and just because of the baby. Booking colleagues shared opinion and dissapointment. Since my flight tickets were booked, my vacation is ruined.||They keep mentioning "legal rules", but they avoid explaining why the hotel is showing 2 TWIN BEDS TWIN ROOM upon selection on Booking. Which Booking employees confirmed as well. In my case this was the sole issue for misunderstanding. 0 compromise or customer friendliness from the Hotel owner.||On top, beware, they have many hidden policies not visible at first. You won't be getting drinks during dinner etc.||Avoid this hotel, even though price is super...
