I’ll start with the positives so I don’t scare people away.||Positives:||This hotel is only about 20 minutes from the airport which is great. It’s easy to find. There’s metro stations, bus stops around the hotel and an amazing shopping centre called el Corte ingles. This shopping centre is HUGE and has everything you will need. Literally nearly everything. It’s about a 4 minute walk from the hotel and i topped up with drinks and sweets etc from here a couple times during my stay. The hotel lobby and the rooms seem very modern. My hotel, especially for the price I have paid I cannot complain one bit, the room is a solid 10/10 the bathroom is amazing, marble floors and walls, good lightning, good mirrors and clean towels etc. I paid 380 pound for 3 nights with breakfast included with my flights and for the price you cannot complain. There’s a fridge in the room, glasses, wardrobes, a safe, tv, windows and good Ac. It was 40 degrees during my stay so was really nice to have that. Keeps the room very cool. The breakfast area is super clean, very very friendly staff. Breakfast selection is decent but can be great for people depending on what you like. Had fresh juices, fruits etc and some of the staff can speak a little English which is good. The hotel (room, lobby and breakfast area) is extremely clean. The cleaners who work here are very friendly and do a great job of cleaning your room. The service is really good here (reception and other areas) For the price you pay, this is deffo a great stay.||Negatives:||Yes the hotel is in a great location, but it’s 20 minutes away in a car from the centre of Madrid where everything you want to see is. So if you’re like me, I got lost on the tubes on my first day and it was the worst experience. Got late to my Santiago bernaboue tour (don’t know if I spelt that right) so I thought I ain’t ever doing that again so I started catching taxis only. It’s about 20 pound per taxi trip from your hotel to the centre of Madrid and back so I spent like 130 pounds in my three days on taxis which is crazy. There’s one lady at the reception area who doesn’t seem the most polite, didn’t really get a happy buzzy vibe from her and I felt like I couldn’t ask her questions about the hotel or local things around the area etc she was a young middle aged woman I’d say? HOWEVER, the rest of the workers were absolutely amazing and I mean amazing. Especially Jose and this other lad, service was great and they did everything they could to help me when needed. I feel like the hotel doesn’t really make you aware of what services are available to you. I had to ask everything myself, like the number to call the reception from in your room, whether you can get access to the iron to iron your clothes, what shops are near by etc I had to ask everything myself and I feel it would be great if they tell you that when you check in or just after to make it easier. Oh Yh, the scrambled eggs smelt like fish and tasted really bad. Everything else was great ||Summary:||For the price you’re paying it is a very very great stay. Most people would give it a 5/5 but I’ll go with this rating. Very clean and up to date and well worth it. If I came Madrid would I come back here again? I would to be fair, but would get closer to centre of Madrid next time. Also if you do come here or Spain in general, from my experience it’s good to know the basics of Spanish it will help you...
Read moreThe bearer of bad news... as you might see from other comments, maybe different chambers have different standards. Our was worn out, the pillows were uncomfortable and overused, the cover is to heavy, the sheats are dirty (3 out of 4) and under the bed is the dust of past guests... this might lead, to you being tired, on your buisness trip. The heating system is odd!? With a set temperature of 24 we were both to cold and to hot. In the bathroom we were greeted by 1 set of towels (for 2 persons), and the most inexpensive, low quality toilet paper. Thumbs up for the water pressure post, witch might determine you to take a nice bath, the bathtub is very big, and moderately comfortable. The food was mediocre. Large portions but doubtful quality... We requested a water heater for coffee/tea, but been denied and advised to go to the restaurant. I didn’t bother to explain, that if I want to wake up, do my makeup, change and go out, I can go anywhere. I just wanted a morning tea to start the day... The cleaning staff was nice, but the reception staff are unfriendly and sober. On the plus side, it’s a quiet place in a practical area and you don’t feel squeezed in a box. P.S. There’s a no smoking policy with no designated areas for smoking, but 100 euro fine if you do it,...
Read moreI am going to try to be succinct with this mixed review.
The hotel at least on my point of view is a 4.
The restaurant is a cafeteria. Be warned. There are good options in the menu and they can cook... But to be a formal restaurant... It is not there yet.
Lighted like a cafeteria,
Plate presentation is good.
Food quality is normal to good.
The timing for a 10+ people table... Has a lot of room for improvement. They really need a Food and Beverage manager in there. Takin one hour from the first plate to the last... It may be a little too much.
If you are at the hotel and need some food. Ok. If you want to get to a restaurant and you are considering getting here from elsewhere... Please do yourself a favor.... don't.
About the hotel rooms.... They are very vertical pretty. The design is very good.
Hotel services They give an excellent service.
Hotel location It is not close to public transportation. But taxi works good.
The hotel is good. The restaurant......
