I spent the weekend to enjoy the facilities of Marriott Vacation Club in Marbella. Whilst the room was excellent, the service and facilities were unacceptable. That being said, the weekend was going okay until that last day, when we’re sold a package that totalled many thousands of pounds that I was going to go ahead with, called ‘Vacation Club’ that was until we went to one of the two restaurants hoping for a table. Honestly, they had two waitresses working, only four tables being used and twenty plus empty tables. The restaurant was completely empty. They said they were fully booked and the waitresses couldn’t handle the pressure of another table. I pointed out to the manager that the waitresses had a ratio of two tables each and the restaurant is empty. He admitted that another waiter was arriving in 20 mins, and this was too much for them. I started to question is this what I can expect from this resort - a service that has no interest whatsoever with assisting its guests. I pointed out to Restaurant Manager why didn’t they seat us and offer us the menus and drinks by which point 20 mins probably would have elapsed for the next waiter to arrive. However, the manager and the staff felt that between them four tables and twenty plus empty tables constituted as fully booked. Alas, they didn’t want to help me or my family suggesting I go elsewhere and perhaps off the resort. Ordinarily I would accept this, but I had agreed to spend tens of thousands to part purchase a room at the resort earlier that day to become a member of ‘vacation club’, which purported a first class resort and services. I questioned the hotel management what about this experience is ‘first class’, the hotel / duty manager was even worse than the restaurant manager - he did nothing to resolve the situation nor did he do anything to appease me and my unacceptable experience. He would rather let me and my family be inconvenienced and eat away from the resort. If this resort was truly first class like they state they would have found a place of me and my family to eat and even ensured it’s was complimentary. This whole situation caused me great anxiety and distress especially when other guests were watching and listening. When I said to the hotel manager I was going to cancel the purchase contract because of this situation not being resolved, he replied ‘that is fine, you will need to take it up with the sales team’ he really didn’t make any effort to retain my custom and wasn’t bothered in the slightest with trying to stop me from cancelling. Therefore, if this is a reflection of the Marriott’s first class brand then I want no part of this and I will not only be cancelling the contract to purchase into their ‘vacancy club’ but I will be boycotting the Marriott brand moving forwards. I will only give my custom to a company that actually wants it and appreciates it - Marriott clearly don’t! I would advise that people considering a purchase, perhaps stay a few time to truly understand and appreciate the Marriott experience before deciding. I think this entire situation was now a blessing in disguise now and I’ve dodged a bullet!
On a final note, I have been now reading many 1 and 2 star review and the reviews about Marriotts poor customer service seems worryingly consistent - I’m only glad that I realised this now and during my 14 day...

We were allocated a second floor apartment on a corner next to a building site that started up at 8am. |We had a family with three children above us. The Kids ran up and down and screamed until midnight every night . It was so loud that we lay in bed and were able to record the screaming through the floor boards , the recording was very clear . There is little or no sound proofing, you could even hear the dishwasher above being emptied and when the hot tap was used at midnight you could hear the system kick in and tank refill . ||After the first night we were offered another room but only another second floor apartment so it wasn’t worth moving . The noise became so intolerable that we left a day early, it ruined what should have been a relaxing break . Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Marbella Marriott Beach Resort over the Christmas holidays, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly and attentive staff who made us feel right at home.
The first thing that caught our attention was the cleanliness of the rooms. Our accommodation was spotless, and it was evident that the resort takes great pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness. The beds were comfortable, and the room had all the amenities we needed for a cozy and relaxing stay.
One of the highlights of our stay was the heated swimming pools. Despite the cooler weather during winter, we were still able to enjoy a refreshing swim. The pools were clean and well-maintained, and the water temperature was perfect. We also made use of the outside jacuzzi, which was a wonderful way to unwind and soak up the stunning views of the beach.
Speaking of the beach, the direct access from the resort was a major plus. We loved being able to step out of the hotel and onto the sandy shores of Marbella. The beach itself was beautiful, and we enjoyed long walks along the coastline and watching the mesmerizing sunsets.
The resort also impressed us with its spacious and comfortable two-bedroom suites with en-suite bathrooms. It was the perfect setup for our family, providing privacy and ample space for everyone. The rooms were well-appointed and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
Last but not least, I have to commend the staff for their exceptional service. From the reception desk to the restaurants, everyone was friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. They were attentive to our needs and provided excellent recommendations for local attractions and dining options.
Overall, our stay at the Marbella Marriott Beach Resort was everything we could have hoped for and more. The combination of clean and comfortable rooms, heated swimming pools, outside jacuzzi, direct beach access, and the attentive staff made for a truly enjoyable experience. Whether you're visiting during the holiday season or any other time of the year, I highly recommend this resort for a memorable stay...
