La Familia Mijas Apartments — Hotel in Mijas

My wife and I recently stayed at La Familia Mijas Apartments for 6 nights. The views overlooking the ocean in the distance ( a couple miles) were spectacular from our balcony. These are brand new condo units and everything was clean and well supplied. The kitchen area was well equipped with everything you might need; from dishes to coffee maker to dishtowels. The shower is wonderful and large with plenty of hot water. Towels and sheets and pillows are very nice quality. The heating and air conditioning are state of the art mini split units, providing quiet comfort control instantly. Sandra and her family operate these apartments and they are without a doubt the nicest and most accommodating hosts you could ever find. This was our first trip to Spain and Sandra directed us to the best eateries, shops and tourist sites. Mijas is a wonderful resort town and you can walk easily to all the shops and restaurants from La Familia. An added bonus is a very nice grocery store just a few hundred feet away! Sandra and her family operate a cozy coffee and yogurt shop right in the lobby area of the condos and a small restaurant will soon be opening as well. The condos have their own parking which is a must for the narrow streets of this quaint town. A nice private pool area is also included for your stay. Simply amazing ! I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels over the years but this one by far is simply “amazing”. Sandra, the host is very friendly and informative and the accommodation is still pretty brand new.

The rooms are well equipped, very modern and the views are stunning for the sea view apartment options. The shower is awesome and there is air con in each room that is set by you hot or cold which is great as usually it’s turned down or off in hotels. The apartments are quiet and relaxing.

The selling point by far is a view you simply won’t get anywhere else this easy and for this price point. You can see for miles away. Theres private and secure parking, swimming pool ( I didn’t use it as it’s rather cold this time of year ) and there’s some communal areas too. There’s a lovely shop downstairs that sells smoothies and sweet treats. Everything in mijas is within walking distance and not up or down hills.

I would 100% recommend this place to anyone of any age bracket and it’s also pet friendly, so I stayed with my pet pooch Vinnie who carried an additional but yet reasonable charge of €20 extra per night. Get it booked and enjoy the breathtaking...

We recently spent 4 nights in these lovely apartments, we had a hill view room which also overlooked the pool area. The apartments are very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Sandra and her family made us feel very welcome and pointed us to and gave us recommendations for the local restaurants Etc. The view from our apartment was great, but the view from the roof terrace is something else, particularly at night. There us secure onsite parking. There is an honesty fridge by the pool area. They were about to open their own restaurant while we were there, but unfortunately we missed the opening by a few days(gives us an excuse to go back).
