Nice place Lovely atmosphere Great to hear live music at the weekend Always local smiling faces So sad to have to write this and even sader to have to write knowing the owner wasn't there. Went for a drink at happy hour where a glass of wine is 2.20. Ordered a bottle of house wine then another and got a bill for Eur40. Obviously quizzed the staff to be told house wine is Eur20 a bottle...errm 4 glasses to the bottle 5 at best equals Eur11 worst case.... never in Mijas have I paid over 14 for house wine... Well next time...after I get the bad taste out of my mouth I will order 10 times glasses of wine... put extra load on your staff and create more washing up.... Things would not have been as bad if not the visit I made the time before last, I hadn't had an extra round added to my bill that I had to uncomfortably challenge.
I don't come out for conflict... whether or not you can justify your actions by saying the happy hour wine is cheaper than house... we all accept house wine sits normally as the bottom rung of the vino ladder. Plus your glass of house is 3.5.
Sort this out...

Read moreBit of an odd one this. Tejo has a very good rating on Google and one of the reviews mentioned it has nice wine so I gave it a go. The waiter was solo for a while so seemed run off his feet and wasn't aware of my empty wine glass. I had chosen white; it was nice enough (not amazing) but wasn't chilled!!!! I had the prawn pil-pil which arrived in a sizzling dish; the waiter said he would bring bread but it never came. I switched to Victoria beer which was chilled ( and is recommended over the Cruzcampo). Veal for main which arrived cold on a sizzling hot plate. Concerned for my clothing I avoided the spitting fat for a while and then rolled the sliced veal over on the plate to finish cooking. About 15% of it was fat and gristle. Forget the theatrics ( sizzling hot plate), just bring me a properly cooked piece of meat on a plate. Price of the meal was quite a bit more then others around about. I would recommend Restaurant Martina for exceptional food in beautiful surroundings at...
Read moreI ordered the onions rings for a starter which was nice. But once I had finished I noticed there was some mould on my plate! The plate was not cleaned properly and must've had some food stuck to it for the mould to grow. How this wasn't noticed before preparing and serving is beyond me. I mentioned to the waiter and he didn't seem to care. There was 5 of us on the table and one of us ordered the spaghetti bolagnese and the sauce tasted off like it wasn't freshly made and had sat for a while. We mentioned it to one of the waitress and she tasted the food an admitted that the sauce had gone bad. However when the steak arrived we ordered different varietys and it tasted very nice I will admit. Was still a good price and we was served some limon cello on the house. Very disappointed about the beginning of the evening and the servers was not very enthusiastic. I'm In two minds about whether I would recommend or not as this was recommended to us by a...
