We stayed at the Gloria Palace Royal Hotel & Spa in Amadores for ten nights as a couple. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, though there were some ups and downs. Room: Our room was large with plenty of storage space for clothes and belongings. The air conditioning worked well and could be controlled conveniently by the bedside. We were placed in block 4, second last room, which unfortunately meant the "sea view" we booked was very minimal. Cleanliness was generally fine, though we did notice hair in the bathtub (which we didn’t end up using). The hotel provided nice little perks like facial exfoliating pads and shower caps, though the toiletries were combined hair/body wash—worth bringing your own conditioner if you need it. The hairdryer wasn’t very powerful, and the TV wasn’t a smart TV, so options there were limited. One downside was that housekeeping entered daily even with the “Do Not Disturb” sign on, which wasn’t ideal. Food & Dining: The all-inclusive restaurant was lovely and welcoming. Food was clearly prepared to a high standard, with lots of variety each day. While much of it wasn’t really to our personal taste, we still found plenty to eat and never went hungry. Staff in the restaurant were friendly and attentive, which made meals a pleasant part of the stay. Facilities: The pools were lovely—refreshing against the hot weather. We especially enjoyed the rooftop pool as it had a more relaxed vibe. The on-site spa looked nice; we only used it on the last day to shower before leaving, though there were no private cubicles to change after showering which was a bit inconvenient. The gym looked well-equipped with both machines and kettlebells, and being partly outdoors gave it a good atmosphere. Entertainment & Atmosphere: We didn’t participate much in the entertainment but caught a glimpse of a music quiz. Unfortunately, one negative moment was when the entertainer played a controversial singer’s song and encouraged my husband to sing along. After he politely declined, the entertainer made a comment over the microphone suggesting if you didn’t like it you should “move upstairs,” which felt unprofessional and unnecessary. Location: The hotel is built into the mountainside, which makes for great views (depending on the room), but also means a bit of a trek to and from the beach. Thankfully, there’s a lift to the ground floor that makes the walk much easier. Overall: A good hotel with spacious rooms, great pools, quality food, and a decent location. The main drawbacks were the disappointing sea view, minor cleaning issues, intrusive housekeeping, and one poor interaction with entertainment staff. Still, it offers plenty of facilities and a relaxing atmosphere if you want to enjoy Amadores.

Couple of weeks ago We finish our amazing 10 night stay in Gloria Palace Royal . We had to say that was really Royal stay . Positive : What a beautiful place and people . From the first day we know that’s gonna be great holiday . The views are amazing form each floor and part of the hotel . Beautiful renovated restaurant makes u feel more cosy and relaxed . There is a lot of space for couples and group of friends like us where we can seat on the side and have comfortable seats which out feeling of being surrounded by others . Rooms are great and mattresses are super soft . Room service top always helps and clean tidy . Daily entertainment was best We ever saw and we travel a lot . They don’t push you to do anything if you don’t want . During some activities they may be a bit noisy but they engage a lot of people with them - if you looking for quiet spot - I suggest go upstairs to the 6th floor and relax over there . We didn’t saw many kids in the hotel but even with the few kids the activity’s was great - we saw Baking cookies , Painting T-shirts and Pirat day … others days they have handcrafts and mini games for the youngest …. Together with my friends we Participated in activities for adults like Corn Hole , Music Quiz , Bingo and much more . The daily entertainment offer the tournaments in which u can win Hotel T-Shirts and bottle of Cava or bottle of Rose . This young man leave us speechless . His enthusiasm , energy , spirit , passion , love to the job he is doing … that’s … no words to express - Patryk , thank you for making our holiday time so memorable . Keep going and don’t change yourself because u are beautiful as you are … - first We thought you are little crazy but then , during the activities Aqua Zumba and Aqua Aerobic we saw that’s fire and passion , love you put in everything u doing . U make people happy , u give the hotel soul and amazing atmosphere . The team which u leading is great - Francesca and (don’t remember for sure) Julia are both great . Thank you so much ! Minus : The bus drop off was on the bottom of the small hill and if you have a lot of bags they don’t offer any help to bring your luggage’s up . U have to carry all the bags alone few times up and down to the elevator . - we would like to suggest that’s maybe the security can help the guest with it . I’m sure the other guest will leave them tips for help u to carry the bags up . We found reception managed by kids . There is so many students that it’s really hard for some specific information or help - they always have to ask other receptionist for answers for our question … that’s annoying Beside that . We highly recommend the Gloria Palace Royal. We will back . Best Regards , Mixi Mixi !Hola!

We stayed in Block 2 and had the all inclusive package. The room was so spacious, powerful hair dryer provided in the bathroom, small kitchen area with a sink, fridge and glasses/cutlery etc. Balcony was gorgeous with some stunning views of Amadores beach. The cleaners are amazing! They come everyday and the place does be spotless. Hotel supplies towels at 9am at reception each morning, so no need to bring towels! There are two pool areas, one parallel to reception which has a bar too, pool is a lot smaller and slightly colder but this area has the bali sun beds, and is a lot quieter with more space between beds. Theres also a little nudist area on top of the bar. The bottom pool is massive! There are always loads of sunbeds. You cant leave your towels on beds without staying with them until 9am, they will take towels off and bags and leave them at the spa area. This is great as it stops sun bed wars. There is a life guard on duty every day, no inflatables or balls allowed in pool. Patryk is the main entertainer by the pool everyday, and he is absolutely brilliant!! His energy daily will make your holiday. He does Aqua gym/aerobics daily, plays games such as cornhole, darts tournaments, guess the drawing, has sangria making and pina colada making once a week too. The drinks from the pool bar are very strong so brace yourself! Nothing is watered down here! We preferred to stick to vodka and mixer, rather than cocktails as lots of them are pre-made and we didn't really like them. The entertainment in the evening time isn't the best, but some nights it has been good. A lot of people leave the hotel and venture into Mogan to the bars. Its a 6 min taxi drive and costs €6-€8. The food on the buffet everyday is delicious. Theres so much choice, there's vegan and vegetarian options also. Theres loads of different meats, fish, sides. Theres something for everyone. There is a Spar just across from the hotel, and on the beach there are loads of restaurants and little shops also. The Hotel is on quite a steep hill, but there is a taxi rank at the beach if needed. We would definitely come back!!!

stayed here a week. i was given an excellent room. it was right above the hotel lobby. i think this is the best location you can get at the hotel because it's the only location where you don't have anyone under or above you.

FIRST IMPRESSION: as you check in at the front desk you're offered a variety of beverages (including cava). we entered our room to fresh fruit basket and a ICED bottle of cava and 2 bottles of water all complementary. those 2 bottles of water was refreshed each day.

THE HOTEL: upscale, clean, and modern. the design seemed a bit confusing at first but then it all made sense. the design was very well thought out. each tier served a purpose. every angle was to maximize view. every section was created for a reason.

LOCATION: perched on a cliff over-looking amadores beach (a spectacular beach). it's one of the best man-made cove/beaches in my opinion. the sand is lightly colored and really showcases the clear water.

ACCESS: just a short walk to/from the beach. there's an elevator that takes you from the driveway of the hotel, which requires you to walk up a small hill to get to, to the top, which is the nudist zone. that may be a problem for some but i enjoyed it.

THE STAFF: most of the staff members were top-notch! just super friendly/helpful and accommodating. you will find a few that's not having a good day (especially in the dining area) but they are trying to get a LOT of people in and out of the buffet so i was OK with it.

THE BUFFET: the breakfast buffet is included in the hotel fee and it's impressive. you want it? they got it. don't get there right as it opens since not everything will be laid out. the lunch and dinner buffets are well worth the money. don't just look at the menu outside the buffet and decide whether to eat there or not. for some reason they didn't highlight some of the best dishes and only advertised the themed dishes.

why go here? well the restaurants down by the beaches weren't better and you pretty much pay the same amount and the food at the hotel buffet was ALL fresh. seafood shouldn't be fishy when you're on an island. i'll just leave it at that. no problems with that at the hotel buffet.

THE POOLS: there are 3 that i know of. most people use the main pool 1 level below the hotel lobby. it's a very nice pool with a spectacular view of the beach. on top of that, it's a saltwater pool. it doesn't get better than that! the 2nd pool is by the nudist zone. it's much smaller but adequate. there's also a bar by the pool there (which is always a good thing). the last pool is below the main pool and it's kind of a spa/pool combo kinda thing. i didn't use it so i can't help you with details.

KAIA restaurant: didn't go to it. flavor combos weren't for me. reviews are great though. not open monday or tuesday. why? i don't know.

EXTRAS: so there were activities offered at the hotel at no extra cost (to my knowledge). there's music at different times of night both in the lobby/lounge and below where the entertainment room is. it's not the cirque du soliel caliber of entertainment but you're in luck if that's what you're looking for because they are in town until late september or early october. on a side note, totem was good but not great (compared to their vegas shows).

there's also interactive screens all over where you can get information on local buses, weather, and what's going on at the hotel. super useful!

AMENITIES: in addition to what i already mentioned there's a spa/salon where you can get all your pampering needs fulfilled. i didn't do that either. my wife did have her hair done there and she was very happy with what they did. surprisingly, the hairstylist didn't try to sell a bunch of crap to my wife just to make more money. she only paid 27 euros and her hair looked fantastic after.

BOTTOM LINE: it's the best hotel in amadores which is why i...

Myself and my boyfriend have just come back from a 10 day all inclusive holiday at Gloria Hotel Palace Royal & Spa 15th Sept – 25th Sept I cannot fault this Hotel one bit (and I can be very picky). We arrived about 21.30 the receptionist took our names and gave us the option of going for dinner before we officially checked in which was nice. After we had eaten we went back up to reception to check in, we were informed about the rules of the hotel regarding wearing of facemasks (which they also provided) these were required to be worn in and around the hotel and when ordering at the bars. We checked in room 4311a which was in block 4 so nice and close to everything we needed. Our room was very spacious nice big very comfy bed, there was a shower and a bath. In the kitchen you had your normal tea’s and coffee, complimentary waters still and sparking also a microwave if needed. Our balcony was massive.... table and chairs which we used every morning for our morning coffee as the view of the beach was amazing. Rooms were cleaned everyday.

The Hotel in our opinion was absolutely brilliant. STAFF ARE FANTASTIC they work very hard (so be nice to them). The food we couldn't fault. My boyfriend is a fussy eater but ate 3 times a day with ease breakfast options were sausages, bacon, eggs (all ways you can think off). Selection of meats, cheese, fruit, cereals, bread. Lunch again massive amounts of selection hot and cold choices and Dinner we thought was very good and varied every night. If you like fish as I do the salmon is to die for. I can’t comment on the snack bar as we didn’t use it. Sunbeds around the pool were socially distanced due to covid restrictions but we always managed to get one. The first pool which is the main he pool gives you amazing views of Amadores Bay. This pool is a bit busier and has some pool activities during the day. There is another pool on the roof-top (solarium) this is a bit smaller but still very nice, the solarium is a little quieter and we spent most of out time here on the sofa sunbeds (these are great). There is also a heated indoor pool in the spa area. This is where the sauna and steam room is and the indoor and outdoor gym (we used this everyday to work out very good equipment) For evening entertainment they seemed to have a different singer each night, we usually sat out by the pool and ordered drinks played some cards. The staff come to you to take your orders we never had any issues all the staff we encounter were lovely (I cant say the same to some of visitors whom I witnessed being rude to the staff in a number of occasions!). If you fancy a walk you can head down to the beach and there is an great spot at the end of the rocks to watch the sunset, although you can watch this from the hotel with ease. It is a bit hilly so may not be for those who struggle walking. Just to be picky and make others aware the only issue I had was with one of the excursions we booked with a company that came into the hotel (so not the hotels fault) the big blue team, it turns out 4 of us from the same hotel were charged different deposit amounts for the same excursion but still had to pay the same amount on the day, and another older couple were charged even more so there was clearly something very iffy going on there. I would not use these again there is a lovely gentleman just outside the hotel that you can book excursions with Thank to everyone at the hotel. You all work extremely hard and were very polite. You made our holiday that little bit extra. Definitely a hotel we would come back to in the future I for sure didn't want to come home. Thank you...

Stayed for 7 nights all inclusive with Jet2. The transfer was great as roughly only 40 mins. The location is perfect as a 5-10 (if even ) walk to Amadores beach. Slight incline on way back to hotel but nothing major. From leaving the hotel there is a spar within 3 min walk which is useful. The hotel has work going on so coach cant drop you off at the doors, you have to walk a hill to the hotel. The hill has a decent gradient however isn't very long takes 3 mins maybe from where the coach drops you off to getting to the lift. The hotel staff are amazing helped with all our queries. Some staff didn't speak English however communication was never a issue and we did our best to pick up/ use as many phrases as possible. The all inclusive was really good. It's a card system which can be confusing / worrying as you just tap away. For anything that costs extra you have to sign for it. But they are good about confirming what is and isn't covered when you order. The food was good. We didn't have the same meal. Breakfast was the meal that was mainly the same but even still had different dishes each time.( I lived off pancakes ). As I said the staff were amazing. The service for dinner and lunch was great. The cleaning staff also amazing. Did amazing job with the room every day giving water and tidying anything they could without moving lots. The room was nice. We had a sea view. The way the hotel is done you won't get any direct sun onto the balcony which is why I put a 4 star. The actual balcony was a nice size and a good view however no direct sun meant we only really used in evening and that things took longer to dry. But honestly not a issue really. Just as a FYI. The air con in the room worked amazingly. Cooled the room down and made comfortable to sleep. The pool were cleaned daily and when the closing time came to the pool ( 18:00 ) they were not kicking you out, was very relaxed. The spa circuit was great and even got offered orange juice while in the spa circuit. The gym was good enough, don't expect the best equipment but worked fine. The health spa was lovely we had a massage for 45 mins and managed to do it as a couples massage even though not listed on the treatments. ( £78 euros each for the 45 mins massage ) the massage was phenomenal. In terms of the demographic, when we arrived ( kids at school still ) there very little kids and mainly couples of 45 age plus. Towards the backend of our trip more family's appeared and did get louder and busier. We went in June. The only downside I would say to the hotel would be that I think we may have got lucky with our room. As we was only one floor up from the main pool. Same level as the place for food and 2 floors down from reception. The hotel is long so having to walk to and from the different places could be abnocsious. Especially as there isn't just one central lift. You have to jump lifts. Our room was great so not a complaint just a observation as we did a lot of walking up and down and we was in a good place. For us fine but if mobility issues there are lifts...
