We’ve been to the Europa Centre many times over the years during our holidays in Gran Canaria, and it’s always a nice place to pop back to. There’s something comforting about the familiar layout, the atmosphere, and the steady buzz of people enjoying themselves.
It’s still a great spot to grab a bite to eat, with plenty of restaurants to choose from, whether you're after a quick snack or a full sit-down meal. After that, there’s always time for a bit of retail therapy in the various gift shops, picking up souvenirs or that one fridge magnet you swore you didn’t need.
The only downside for us is that the arcades are no longer there. They used to be a highlight, especially with kids in tow or if you just fancied a bit of fun after dinner. It’s a bit of a shame they’ve gone, as they added some extra energy and entertainment to the place.
That said, the Europa Centre still holds its charm and is well worth visiting while in Puerto Rico. Whether it’s your first time or you’re a returning visitor like us, it’s always a good stop for food, shopping and a...
Read moreIdeal for not straying far from your hotel, dont expect anything amazing though, lots of shops selling the same souvenirs and every other shop seemed to be a restaurant. The waiters outside in the evening are a pain asking you to come inside even if you have already passed them once and said no and they all seem to be English outside!
Most restaurants have a special menu for around 10 euros giving you starter and a main but charge a higher rate for drinks, expect to pay around 25 to 30 euros for two. Two supermarkets on top floor and one on bottom both selling fresh bread and the usual supermarket items, just check dates on packaged goods!!!
Would have been better if they sold less English food, fry ups sunday roast etc and maybe had something more local but its what sells I suppose. Bars which all seem to show football have the volumes up so if you eat near them thats all you can hear, but...
Read morePlenty of lovely places to eat from steaks and burritos, lasagne, pizza, salads, Indian and Chinese. There's also 2 takeaway shops if you fancy a kebab to take out. Loads of shops to buy clothes, towels, nice nacs, and a Hyper Dino to buy those essentials needed as well as snacks and alcohol. Theres some great bars to stop off for a drink or two, if your a football fan there's Barbacoa with their big screens, also different evening shows on here too aswell as bingo, and a children's play area with games to let them have a play and a run around. Head to Mary Ds if you fancy a bit of karaoke-a good laugh in there. If you like to watch the sunset head to Buller Bar, grab a cocktail and watch the sun go down :) You do get the odd worker trying to get you to go and eat at their restaurants, but once you tell them no, they step back, much less here than in the commercial centre! Everyone is...
