Restaurante Zenubia — Restaurant in Mogán

We visited Zenubia after seeing a review on youtube from a couple who recommended it. We were not disappointed at all. If you get a front seat by the sand the view out to sea is great. Menu is a wide range and has something for everyone. We had a 3 courses, just an easy garlic bread between us. We both had the hanging kebabs for mains which were unbelievable, and the sauce on the canarian potatoes was just superb. We were recommended by staff (who were great) to try the homemade cheesecake...again it was just delicious, never had cheesecake like it before. We accompanied the meal with a litre of freshly made Sangria which just got stronger the further down the jug you went. Worked out at just over £50 for the 2 of us. Even though I wrote a praising review, giving 5 stars for everything after our first visit, I had to change it after several (at least 3) more visits.

The food has actually been quite mediocre and even a bit disappointing at times.

Our last visit I asked what's their most popular meat dish and obviously the owner told it's the one that's most expensive. I gave her a benefit of doubt and tried it and was quite disappointed. Not much taste to it etc. It was definitely not worth the money.

Our 2nd visit I had Garlic King Prawns, which were swimming in a big plate of oil. The garlic was just submerged under the thick layer of oil and the prawns were nothing special. Disappointed as well.

I guess their best dishes are simple ones like pizza, bolognese etc.

Still on holiday and have been here 3 times already since being here!! We’ve been to a couple other restaurants but none compare to this one, the food is all home made, authentic and absolutely delicious. The service is amazing, the staff are so sweet. 3/5 of our party are vegetarian and this place absolutely does the most vegetarian options out of anywhere else in the area, the veggie fajita’s and veggie paella are amazingggggg!!
