First experience having lunch was nice, the food was very tasty and the waiters very friendly so we decided to come back in our last day, wrong decision. We started to check the menu and the Portuguese/French almost spanish waiter came to serve our table, we ordered some started while choosing from the menu, the waiter informed us about the special fish of the day, he said it was a typical canary dish and fresh food no from frozen, my partner chose that one but I decided to go for the Dorada so we both can try different thing. When the waiter came again with the drinks, he said he forgot to order the starters but our food was coming out soon so we decided to wait, also he mentioned that because it was our last day in the island he asked the chefs if they could put our food in a kind of "nice" plate for us to share, I thought that's wasn't a problem however when he came I barely could see the famous fish of the day he suggested, it was hiden under a couples of lettuces and tomatoes and the Dorada, it was ridiculous for the price we paid for it. I told the waiter that the fish seems a bit small without any intentions or complain and he started to give many excuses, explanations, business etc, in my opinion if everything is right nobody needs to give many responses and apologies like he did, he knew that it wasn't correct what they did and I know because it is a spanish thing that many restaurants do in Spain, you ask for full racion, they bring you half or the minimum and they charge you full price. This situation remains me to a very popular sentence, “Trust takes years to build, seconds to break, and forever to repair.” I hope the owner of the restaurant see my message and if there is any way he can fix it, I will be very happy but unfortunately I strongly don't recommend this place.
In the picture, you can see the dorada, no signal of the special fish of the day. We paid 58 euros for...
Read moreWe visited Los Amigos on the Amadores beachfront multiple times during our holiday. I think it was four or five in total, which should already tell you something. Yes, it’s a tiny bit on the pricey side, but honestly? It’s worth every cent.
The food is fantastic, with a wide and varied tapas selection that kept us coming back for more. Whether you're after something traditional or a little different, there’s plenty to choose from, and everything we tried was fresh and full of flavour.
What really makes this place shine though is the atmosphere and the staff. Every time we came, they made us feel genuinely welcome. There’s a real warmth to the service, and the team clearly puts effort into making each customer feel relaxed and looked after, not just another table to serve.
One moment in particular really stuck with us. Our daughter started to get a bit bored sitting at the table (as kids do), so she went to play in the sand nearby. A few minutes later, one of the staff came out and handed her a little bucket and spade, just so she could enjoy herself more while we ate. That small gesture went a long way, thoughtful, kind and completely unexpected.
With beautiful views, amazing food and genuinely lovely staff, Los Amigos ended up becoming one of our favourite spots during the trip. If you're in Amadores, it's well worth stopping by. Just be warned, you might end up going back...
Read morePathetic people I have ever dealt with. What matters to them is just money. We were told that our Indian chef is at home and it will take him 15 minutes to come and we can serve you in 1 hour. We were happy to wait for an hour. But they kept us telling the chef has left and coming and after 1.5 hours we were told he is on his way and coming soon. We didn't leave because we thought if we go anywhere else it would take atleast 30 minutes for the order. And our kids we're already very hungry. The food was served after 2 hours and that too undercooked and very bad in taste. Staff and the lady owner and the owner (so called uncle) were very rude and were just interested in us ordering more and more. After asking for cutleries staff didn't come back to us for 15 mintes and were just roaming around. They were just interested in filling up tue tables and not serving people. One couple sitting next to us left their pizza ordered and not eating it. Very bad experience, completely ripoff. It feels bad to see people just tries to ripoff the trourists. Take anything from anywhere but...
