Morning,
Recently stayed at Ryan Lola’s for 4 nights from the 9th July to 13th. The service we received wasn’t the best from the start when we arrived. Some how you lost the deposit that was paid (€619.71) before arriving at the hotel. Therefore we was being charged the full amount for the whole booking. I showed emails between our selfs and my booking confirmation on my bank statements that was paid prior to arrival. It was a back and four effort with my self and the receptionist, were refused to pay the extra €619.71 when it was originally paid.
After an hour of trying to sort this out magically the deposit was found and we wasn’t charged the extra €619.71. But no apology was giving.
Our room was nice but the shower would leak everywhere when using it. The air con didn’t work at all even tho after complaints was made to reception no one bothered to come look at it and check. It was also leaking on the floor. It wasn’t till the last day for us 12th that someone actually came to look at it.
There also power cuts on the 13th July early hours of the morning.
We made friends with people next door to us in one of the (stage view rooms) which I can honestly say was in a state. There was hole in the bathroom celling, there was live electrical wires hanging out of the door to the balcony. This is a high health issue if someone touches it can cause a lot of damage.
The hotel shouldn’t have opened when it opened, clearly there a lot of issues that need doing and finishing before opening. You advertise it as an event hotel with DJs and a stage, yet there was no events or stage? Rather than a container thats never open.
Cleaners as well don’t clean the room properly, no fresh towels was giving, again after having to make a complaint.
Honestly this is an unacceptable hotel with very poorly service. It shouldn’t been open early with no finish rooms etc.
we was offered a late check out for the rooms for this experience, I feel very disappointed in the service we received up until today with the offer of the late check out.
I understand the hotel is new but when you already have two Ryan’s in Ibiza you should know the standard of a hotel.
I feel that a hotel makes your experience on holiday when you’re chilling in the room and hotel but for us we didn’t enjoy it at all with all the experiences we had. It didn’t feel clean or safe and also disappointed with our experience. The un clean beds with mould, no fresh towels and air con especially in this heat.
I feel like our money was a waste. Are we able come to an agreement and refund one one of the rooms? A form of compensation for this bad experience.
UPADTE 18th JULY!!
Not only the service was shocking out there once back I had two charges on my card one for £132.03 and £85.60. Not one email or call was sent or received by the hotel regarding any extra charges! How they can even charge you for something you don’t know about is unacceptable! Once contacted the hotel they sent me invoices through with the wrong room and name! So I was charged for not even my own room! This is completely unacceptable. Upon arrival, you have to leave a credit or debit card behind the till for any extra charges but yet somehow they charge me for another room, which I was under another name. Completely unacceptable and disgusting service. I highly Do not...
Read moreSadly for me, I will never return to the hotel as my trust in it was broken on the 2nd day.
After belongings from our room were stolen by the cleaning staff. Items that the cleaner thought we would not notice were taken. Small items that were put in her bum bag or her cleaning cart.
What upset me the most, was the cleaning staff stole something extremely sentimental to me that meant a lot. A gift that was given to me as young girl around 15 years ago and still use(d) today as 30 years old. Cosmetic scissors that were gifted to me by my brother, that truly meant a lot to me. Something that may seem small and replaceable to others, but do not understand the value of them to me.
After my friend and I discovered that both our belongings and money were missing, we immediately called reception to inform them. ( two sets of fashion hair clips, perfume, concealer, cosmetic scissors, €10)
We were extremely disappointed to be told that there is no management in the hotel at time (7pm) and they wouldn’t return until 2pm the next day.
This is in itself is a massive red flag that a hotel does not have management 24 hours in a hotel. There should be management for a day time shift and then a night time shift. I explained this to the reception staff that this was really strange, explaining to her that imagine something serious happened to a guest such as an accident or a fight break out.
The reception staff suggested we keep our belongings in the safe. An FYI that the safe is a small standard safe. Our passports and expensive jewellery were locked in the safe as that’s all that would fit! So the suggestion from the reception staff was not possible.
I didn’t know I needed to lock away the above stolen belongings. It really broke my heart that someone would ruffle through 2 cosmetic bags that I left at the side and steal my belongings, and then through my friend’s handbag which was in the suitcase and take money out of the handbag.
The next day on Tuesday 23rd, we eventually were able to speak to the manager. She explained she had asked the cleaning staff and was told the staff didn’t take anything. I said of course the cleaner is not going to admit to stealing something.
Management offered money that would add up to the amount of our stolen belongings.
I refused this gesture as money was not going to buy back what that cleaner stole from me. The damage was done at that point.
The saddest thing is, I always leave a tip for cleaning staff after a stay. So the cleaner would have been able to buy what she needed with that money.
For the rest of the holiday we ensured all our belongings were locked in our suitcases. As sadly, we couldn’t leave a single thing out as our trust was broken.
I’m writing this review as a percussion for future guests. Sadly, I think the cleaning staff at Ryan Lola’s assume everyone visiting Ibiza is going to be drunk etc to not care about their belongings or notice when something has been taken.
I recommend all future guests to lock their suitcases while staying...
Read moreWe stayed at this hotel for a birthday weekend. The stay itself was nice. Food was good, rooms were clean etc. We had a night fight home so on the second to last day we tried to extend our room check out but were told we had to come back in the morning, so we did and were told it was too late to extend it so we had to check out at the normal time but we could put our cases and bags in their storage room. We went shopping that day and came back to the hotel pool for a few hours before leaving. Upon collecting our bags to get ready to leave, my shopping had been stolen. I immediately let the hotel know and in all honesty they didn’t help a bit. They called the manager who only works mornings and she chose not to come back to the hotel to help with this. I was so shocked this had happened and didn’t really know what to do. I left my details with the front desk as they said they needed to check the cameras. I had proof of card payments but there was also gifts I paid in cash with the receipts in the bag. I sent an email with the proof I had and an estimate of the cash payments being as honest as I could be from memory. A few days later I got an email saying nothing was on the camera and they had no proof of what had happened but they would re fund me. The refund has now come through and it’s a fraction of what was spent. I’ve been left out of pocket and completely disappointed with the customer service of this hotel. They have a duty of care with items that are in their storage rooms and they didn’t meet those standards. It wasn’t a huge amount of money but it’s the principle that I was stolen from and they’ve been very sharp with their responses. I understand their cameras might not have picked things up but that’s not my fault. My items are still missing and I’m out of pocket...
