George’s Peppermint Café — Restaurant in Sant Josep de sa Talaia

Won’t return. Hygiene and presentation was very good however it stopped there unfortunately… I come here for a “special breakfast” which was quite frankly revolting. A girl on another table was literally spitting her breakfast into a plastic bag. In my breakfast it stated “mushrooms” - take a look at what I received (a single mushroom) I laughed thinking they were joking. When asking the owner he said “yes that is all you get”. I then found a grey hair with the scalp end still attached on my sausage and decided to complain after this. I told the owner that I was not happy with this and asked my breakfast to be taken away showing him the hair and he said “yes I know…” - no apology or fresh dish was offered but proceeded to charge me in full without any type of apology. I stumbled across George’s Peppermint by chance one evening with a couple of mates, and it instantly became the highlight of our trip. The vibe, the food, the service — everything was spot on. We were so impressed that we made the decision the very next day to skip all the other incredible restaurants in Ibiza and head straight back to George’s.

And let me tell you — we were not disappointed.

The staff were warm and welcoming, the food was next-level, and the whole experience made us feel like we were right at home, just with better weather and even better food. It’s rare to find a place that makes such a lasting impression, but George’s pulled it off with ease.

Massive thanks to the team for making our night so memorable. Can’t wait to come back next time...

This place rips off tourists. I don't understand how it has such good reviews. Please be careful if you go here for drinks, especially if you're getting a second round. George is not an honest man; he will overcharge you and not give you the correct change. Also be careful if you get a second round as George comes around your table with cheaper alcohol (in better alcohol bottles) and will pour your next drink into the same glass rather than get you a fresh one, often just topping it up but will charge you for a full one (we were being over charged until we pulled him up on it and he made some odd excuse). Our friends were also ripped off here but we didn't find out til after we had been. It was the only bar open close to Els Pins for a late night...
