This place is really run down and in desperate need of serious renovation,it is nothing like the photos in any brochure. On arrival your view is of the back of the appartments and it looks like a old 3storey council building, the buildings are in need of modernisation, the first room we were shown was crawling with Ants, there was large stains all down the walls, the shower, bedside lamps and kitchen taps were brown with rust and the two seating areas in the main room which makes up two beds was stained and smelly. The second room we are staying in now is much better and cleaner although the cooking area is very tiny, the gap in between the two rings and sink is just wide enough for a travel kettle or two cups side by side. We have had clean bedding and towels once in 6days. There is no pipework for the air conditioning on the above floors so ultimately the ground floors have buckets to catch the water right outside your door,, However the staff are very pleasant and helpful and try to put things right but they are clearly working on a very tight budget,, such a shame really as this place could be a little gem if it was upgraded and kept in good repair.. The outside area (sa coma) is overrun with all inclusive hotels, there are multiple supermarkets (spar) and lots of souvenir (tat) shop's, the main Street is very nice and lead's to the beach which is like something you would see in the Caribbean - absolutely stunning!!! Lots of cafés and bar's along the beach walk. Unfortunately all the places of interest like castle's, markets, zoo, splash parks etc are mile's away, once you have done the beach walk for a few days then there is nothing else to do or see in sa coma.. Personally I would never come back to this place and I would never recommend...
Read moreYou have to remember that this is a 3 star apartment accommodation. So that mean's in places it's a little old. The rooms are bright and airy, comfortable and I managed to cook a few meals on the 2 ring hob and microwave in the kitchenette. Toaster and kettle both newish and certainly good for breakfast (toast and nutella) for the kids. Fridge normal size under counter with an icebox. Pool not crowded and we always got sun loungers if we wanted them. Lovely little bar serving allsorts of drinks, crisps and icecreams. Pool table, table tennis and a book swap shelve. Our room looked like the brochure to be honest, just a little older. Close to beach, bars, Market (Wednesday 5pm onwards) and local spar shops. Walk the extra 5 mins to the Carrefour for food shopping open until 11pm and sells everything (a bit like tescos).
Bad bits?? None that bothered us too much. 3 forks not 4, lick of paint on ceiling to cover old water stain maybe.
Good bits??? Great aircon unit, nice balcony with clothes airer, lots of plugs and comfy...
Read moreNot a place i would stay again. 2 single beds pushed together and says sleeps 4 only if you don't mind 2 people sleeping on sofas. Not sofa beds just sofas. Bathrooms are ok but limited space. Patio doors have no locks so dangerous for little kids. 2 hob's and a microwave in the kitchen which is in the hall between the front door and bedroom door through to the front room. Cutlery is a few knives and forks and spoons, one saucepan a large bowl and one frying pan and a couple of cups. Can use aircon of you leave 20 euro deposit which you get back when you return the remote. Same as the tv remote. Rooms cleaned twice a week and that is mopping the floor with bleach and making the beds and clearing the bins. You must take your own bins to recycling bins outside the hotel. Plus side when asked they put a lock on the door and the staff are helpful and friendly. Pool is ok and clean but people leave stuff in the pool so can get crowded with floats etc. With sofa beds, locks and a shelf in the bathroom it would be a totally...
