The pool and surrounding area is good, only one day couldn't get a sun bed. That's were the good ends...... Ground floor room, our terrace was on the side of a busy dirty and very smelly road, definitely not pictured or mentioned on any of their sites, shaded by trees during the day and den for some awful bugs that ate us to bits at night. The street at night was horrendous. There is a nightclub at the end, this attracts alot of young adults, 1st night we were woken at 3am when it emptied, hoards of drunk teens shouting and yelling at each other up and down the street right outside our window. Same thing next night....The Saturday night was quite simply HELL..... From around 10pm the nightclub gang started to arrive again, this time hundreds. Police patrolled the street every 5 minutes which says alot about what was to be expected. We felt very nervous and rightly so, the balcony furniture was stolen from outside which also meant these kids were also prollering outside our door while we tried to sleep . Thank goodness we had the prison gates to lock us in!!!! Several times we requested a change of room but were simply told no chance, we asked for ground floor room so that's what you've got.... The room was well equipped but not great, fridge that stood out in middle of kitchen area, no oven only 2 ring hob. Bathroom had bath and a shower hose so to shower you had to hold it in hand. A. Simple fix would have sorted that out if they bothered to re apply the shower holder!!!! Supplied with 1 toilet roll, when that finished you were told to buy your own!! Same with bin bags ! Water boiler leaked behind the fridge in kitchen and over the socket!! We reported it, it was fixed by attaching a small plastic container to catch the drips, this filled up pretty quickly to overflow!!! Bedroom window didn't open, lounge had sliding door and an unsightly jail gate as we called it to lock at night or when out. We couldnt leave anything outside even to come in for a cup of coffee.... A towel was stolen while we were out shopping. The 3 staff on during the day were far from helpful or welcoming, if you mentioned anything they became either defensive or refused to believe you. Twice we reported things and were then told we hadn't mentioned it!!!! We requested a change of towels and sheets on day 3 and were told that doesn't happen ever!!! So you are expected to sleep on the same sheets and use same towels for a week!! ( we did magage to get a change but normally you won't!!!)||There is no pool guard or any staff monitoring what goes on, all rules are ignored. We saw 2 nasty falls by kids messing that could have been stopped if staff intervined and reinforced the rules. There is no bar or restaurant open so you actually can't chill and relax other than on a sun lounger or in your room. The town was OK, not the most exciting.||The night time staff Santos was fantastic, it was actually commical to watch everyone jump up when he reported on duty in the evening with their questions and quierys, he was always so pleasant and helpful to everyone and made an effort to make people feel welcome.....||Advice, if looking for a family holiday this is NOT right place on many levels. Wish we had paid attention to the very many negitive reports on...

Stayed here at the end of August as a family of 4 with 2 young children. Check in is at the front of the site ( during the day/ closed at night) and the lady was clearly more occupied with her mobile conversation than us and spoke very basic English ( which was fine as we had no complaints). We asked to not be placed on the ground floor prior to arrival and that was honored, given the 3rd floor which was great apart from there being no lifts. This made taking the luggage and daily outings with the childs buggy a challenge having to carry up and down stairs in various trips with kids and buggy in tow. Make sure when you book you check this as might be a problem for some.
The site is basic but clean and the pool is fairly sized but needs maintenance as lots of tiles are missing. There are very few sunbeds and as a lot of the rooms open on to the pool these are taken by them ( no issue for us as we didn't use the pool more than once on site due to access at another site) it is a little bit of a funny layout as some of the rooms by the pool are less than 2 meters away from the balconies ( reason why we didn't want a room on ground floor with young children).
The rooms are clean and nicely furnished, no bug infestation. As you can see from the pictures the bathroom looks to have been recently been refurbished and is lovely with a great shower. The living rooms is a good size with two sofa beds and a usable kitchen with some basic utensils although we didn't use the cooker, fridge was great. Bedding and towels changed twice in the week we stayed but never seemed to have enough sheets for the sofa beds although we didn't complaint. The bedrooms are also spacious with the standard foam mattresses with one rail to hang clothes, no aircon in the bedroom but it is so powerful in the living room it cools the whole apartment. One big plus is the air con was excellent and the rooms was frosty which was great as it was about 36⁰c when we visited. There is WiFi on site but it's patchy, can't really complain as its free and many hotels still charge for this.
Overall the rooms were great for us but are far from luxury so if your looking for that book elsewhere. Would recommend this as a great base hotel if looking to spend a fair amount of time off site. The resort of Sa Coma and S'illot are some of the best on the island, highly recommend the local Spanish bars and restaurants in S'illot away from the tourist crowds in Sa Coma. Also if snorkling is your thing both beach's within walking distance are brilliant around the rocky sides for it.
For me a solid 3.5/5 apartment which meets...

We booked and paid for an apartment overlooking the poolside and when we arrived, we were told there was some sort of mix up and that none were available. This was a deal breaker for us, because we have stayed in places before overlooking main roads and it never lends itself to a good experience. Had we known at the time of booking there was no poolside apartment available we simply wouldn't have booked. We were fobbed offed with unconvincing promises of a move early into the stay but it never occurred. Sadly, that was a good as it got, it went downhill from there.||||The apartment itself was musty, dirty and smelly. It had an eyewatering vista of a municipal car park along with various rubbish bins which stank to high heaven in 35 degrees of heat (see photo's). Moreover, every moped, motor bike and car in Blanes must have at one point passed beneath our balcony. When that wasn't happening, you were jolted awake by the clatter of bins being emptied at 3 am and so on.||||The staff were possibly the most unhelpful I have had the misfortune to encounter. Reading some of the glowing reviews of other visitors I can only conclude that we must have caught them in an off week, either that or the reviews submitted were family members or indeed the staff themselves. You get no change of sheets for the week nor towels. Nor do you get any toilet rolls. We had asked 4 times for another towel as they had only left 2 for the 3 of us, it took a full day and half to get it. Trying to get sheets for the couch bed was met with similar disinterest. When we got a refund on the difference paid for the poolside apartment, we got the impression that they did us a favor. The pool was unsupervised and dirty and I was astounded that no child was seriously injured. Blanes itself is beautiful and the beach is fantastic not to mention the food in the surrounding eateries is very good. I'd visit Blanes again but you couldn't pay me enough to stay at Europa. I wish I could give it a lower overall rating but I can't....
