Hotel Baluma Porto Petro — Hotel in Santanyí

The worst hotel I have ever been to. Rude staff, tiny rooms, COCKROACHES! The reception is not open after 12 so if you are arriving after then you have to let them know. I did this and they replied saying that's fine but when I arrived (2am) there was no one there so I called the emergency number they provided and the woman who answered was so unhelpful and rude. I ended up having to wait from 3 in the morning til 8 for a room and was told that it was my fault! The pool area is not connected to the hotel building its round the corner and up a hill. The bar/restaurant area is never open, you are told to go to the sky bar (which does not serve food). The whole Porto petro area is so boring and quiet the only decent thing to do is go on the starfish boat trip or get a taxi/bus to cala'dor. The maids are rude and barge into room early in the morning without asking and then rearange belongings and throw food away. First time in Palma de Mallorca and enamored with the island and the local people. In this hotel, we found a family. Simple hotel, with a very cute, beautiful decoration very much in keeping with the Mediterranean style. Honestly, it has everything you need to be well and happy. The team at Hotel Baluma is exceptional, humble people with hearts, always willing to help and do their best to make us feel good. My husband and I want to thank Miguel, Ezquiel, Ricardo, Faissal, Claudia, Belen, Lucia, and Alba from the bottom of our hearts! A round of applause for this wonderful team. Empezando por la mala lavada de cara (reforma según ellos) de un hotel mas viejo que la catapum, conservan todos sus elementos, incluidos los colchones de muelles de hace 60 años, toallas amarillentas lavadas mas que tu te has duchado en toda tu vida y con medallas de todas sus historias, tan solo han hecho una pintada al hotel de blanco a paredes, puertas etc y chapar la ducha de gresite. El descanso no está garantizado, tienes la musica del hotel de la otra punta si abres la ventana, la maquina de bebidas con el compresor a toda maquina y el aire acondicionado de las habitaciones vecinas para que no puedas conciliar el sueño, cerrando las ventanas viejas de madera repintadas y las persianas medio rotas aun escuchas el compresor del aire acondicionado y el ventilador. Si finalmente decides ir a alojarte, tendrás que sumar al precio de la noche, las sesiones del fisioterapeuta que tendrá que arreglar tu espalda cuando vuelvas a tu ciudad, dormir en ese colchon y almohada es como si te hubieran pegado una paliza. El desayuno es muy flojo y los cafés y zumos con agua desalinizada de la isla son tan malos que no hace falta que los pruebes, mejor busca el agua de la jarra que la rellenan de aqua service.|No entiendo los buenos comentarios que vimos sobre el hotel y nos animaron a alojarnos en este hotel, hemos ido a hoteles de 1-2 estrellas o hostales con mejores instalaciones, mas modernas y muchas más comodidades para el cliente, se nota que la empresa que lo adquirió busca una alta rentabilidad y es lo único que les preocupa, no piensan ni invertir en reforma, en mantenimiento, en colocar ascensor ni en cambiar textil hogar.
