Restaurant Es Bergant — Restaurant in Santanyí

This is my favourite restaurant in majorca! I have been dining here for nearly 20 year's and I have always had the most delicious food no matter what time of the year, I have taken many friends and family here and they all concur many of them have also returned on a regular basis. Miguel the owner always makes you feel very welcome and he provides his personal touch by informing you of the daily specials aswell as the catch of the day which are always of the highest quality, personally my favourite is the fillet with gorgonzola which is so good that I have replicated it at home on a Saturday night hence I no longer order steak anywhere else ever as it never matches Es Bergants standard. A gem of a place. My partner and I loved it here so much that we made it a weekly visit over the 2 months we spent in Majorca, walking over from Cala D'Or especially to come here. The food was always delicious and the waiters all really friendly. The manager got to know us and remembered what we liked to order, which was a nice touch. There are lovely views of the port and the atmosphere is relaxed, - far more chilled out than eating in the more touristy restaurants in the centre of Cala D'Or. Tras varios días sin tocar tierra, arribamos a Porto Petro, después de una merecida ducha buscamos un lugar donde reponer fuerzas, nos sentamos en el local "Es Bergant", que aún siendo martes 4 de enero, estaba bastante concurrido para nuestra sorpresa, encontramos mesa libre y pedimos una ensalada de cabra, unas croquetas de pescado como entrantes y un par de cervecillas, luego de principal un solomillo y bacalao gratinado al allioli, (espectacular), el personal muy atento y amables, de hecho el/los dueñ@s cuentan con un gran activo con la presencia del equipo, tanto de cocina como los camarer@s de sala, salimos gratamente sorprendidos tanto del trato del personal como de la calidad de la comida, en los tiempos que corren desgraciadamente cada vez es más difícil encontrar "profesionales" y además con "agrado". En cuanto a la calidad / precio es muy razonable.

Nach mehreren Tagen ohne Land zu berühren, kamen wir heute in Porto Petro an. Nach einer wohlverdienten Dusche suchten wir uns einen Platz um uns mit etwas zu Essen zu belohnen: Wir fanden uns in "Es Bergant" wieder wo, sogar heute Dienstag, 4. Januar, kaum Platz zu finden war. Wir hatten Glück und bekamen den letzten freien Tisch und bestellten einen Ziegensalat, Fischkroketten als Vorspeise zusammen mit ein paar Bier. Als Hauptgang ein Lendenstück und Kabeljau gratiniert mit Allioli: Ausgezeichnet! Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. In der Tat haben die Besitzer ein ausserordentliches Team zusammengestellt, vom Küchenpersonal bis zu den Kellnern. Wir waren sowohl von der Bedienung des Personals als auch von der Qualität des Essens angenehm überrascht; es wird leider immer schwieriger, professionelle und motivierte Mitarbeiter zu finden, die ihre Arbeit gewissenhaft und mit einem Lächeln ausüben . Was das Preis/Leisungs-Verhältnis angeht, waren wir auch sehr angetan.
