I Went there last night for my friend’s Birthday (she has celiac disease). We saw the menu before booking and We saw a few options she could have (that seemed not to have gluten in the dish) so We were happy to be able to have a nice birthday dinner. We never said to the restaurant it Was her birthday as We did not want any Special treatment We Just wanted to have a normal dinner. We sat down and once the waitress came We pointed out my friend needed to eat gluten Free as We did in our previous dinners in other restaurants in mallorca. We were surprised that everywhere in the Island everybody is so sensitive to celiac disease so We were cool that We would have had a nice dinner in this beautiful restaurant too. Once the waitress (dark hair with a long bob cut) found out about this she started the conversation with: “no you cannot share because it’s not safe to eat with someone who has this allergy” and we replied that for us was no problem as we’ve been done this for years now. Then at this point we asked if we could remove some “dangerous” items from some dishes and the reply was: “no the chef cannot change the plates”. We did not ask for special customized plates we just wanted for example to remove the fried (dangerous) potatoes from the octopus plate. The answer was no. then we asked what we could eat at this point and she started to say that she did not have a lot of time to explain all the ingredients in the menu as other customers were waiting (there were 4 other waiters and 5/6 tables) (just as another side note we overheard her saying the same thing - she did not have a lot of time - to other tables. How professional and how polite). When my friend asked what were the ingredients in some dishes she wasn’t really able to explain and replied that my friend was in charge to tell her what she could eat. My friend said: “the only thing that I cannot eat is flour/wheat/cereals - things with gluten”. At this point she said again that she could not go over the entire menu explaining all the ingredients as she was not the chef (side note: yes she was not the chef of course but then what does a waitres is supposed to do other than explaing the menu when taking an order?). At some point she did even say: “you should have chosen another restaurant because we are not gluten free (yes we know but in every restaurant on this planet you can get something gluten free)”. We finally agreed on 3 dishes to share (mainly salads) and she even pointed out that sh needed to tell the chef to use different pans and pots to cook for us (sorry for the bother). We finally had our gluten free dishes and had a nice evening because we decided not to mind at her (the other waitress and waiters were very nice and friendly ). The overall dinner and location were fine the “problem” was her approach to our situation. I’m sorry but we cannot feel guilty if one of us as a very common disease. It’s responsibility of the restaurant to give options or at least be more friendly as we were not there to create problems but just to ask what we could eat without gluten. Even in the desert once we were able to get gluten free dishes, not in Mallorca? Disappointing!!! The restaurant is super cute and in a very nice location. Probably if you don’t have any disease you...
Read moreThe service was really bad. We had to wait a long time till someone noticed our table. When we wanted to order, when we were finished, everytime. No one asked if we wanted new drinks. Then te food came. I had the seabass with vegetables and ordered extra fries. Then they gave me only the fish with unbaked raw fries. They were so discusting. I had to ask for the vegetables, cause they ‘forgot’. Weird because the dish is ‘seabass with seasonal vegetables’. When i told the waitress that the fries were really bad, she said they are ‘mallorca style’ fries, so thats why they are white. That is nonsense, they were raw and unfried. No apologise, understanding or anything. Apparently i was wrong and thats it. Very very bad. Not worth the...
Read moreThis place is excellent!! Firstly the location is lovely: quiet, off the road and right on the water's edge. The seating is so comfortable. We opted for one of the cushioned bench style seats. The service is great, attentive and sincere. They were obviously working hard to deliver. But the big point is the food. Beautifully conceived and plated. Traditional with a twist of unusual flavour combinations. We had two sharing plates and two salads between three of us with a bottle of wine and a chocolate desert to share and would have happily continued through until dinner time to eat again. I would highly recommend and everything we tried was...
