Please understand that I’m not a native English speaker, so there might be some awkward grammar or word choices.

Overall, the food was decent, and the waiters were friendly. Up to that point, we were satisfied. However, the problem started when it was time to pay.

At first, they gave us a receipt that belonged to a different table. That bill was cheaper than what we actually ordered.

I'm an honest person, so I couldn't just pay it as it was. I told them it wasn’t our bill, and they brought us another one.

But that one was also incorrect. We had clearly ordered the octopus dish twice in half portions, but the receipt listed them as full portions.

In the end, we were charged correctly for the half portions, but the whole process took over 30 minutes.

If someone is considering visiting this place, I would politely recommend going...

Went to celebrate our first engagement dinner - food came after an hour and thirty minutes of waiting when it wasn’t busy. Staff were forgetful and unapologetic. We have been going here for more than 30 Years so this was very sad to experience.

Manolo forgot our food order and we had to re order it came after an hour and a half of waiting. At the end I thanked the other waiter serving us for the free bottle of wine as a result of the terrible experience. It turned out Manolo had forgotten to add it to the bill and this wasn’t intended. I then had to debate with them about the poor service and was given the bottle on the house.

The frustration was the the staff were unapologetic and didn’t recognise anything having gone wrong.

In summary: Lovely setting by water , nice atmosphere - forgetful and...

Beautiful setting but very disappointing meal. The service was very slow despite the restaurant being rather quiet. I had to send my first meal back. The chicken breast was uncooked with a jelly like texture. The second meal ordered was simple chicken nuggets but these came burnt on the outside and cold and raw on the inside! Absolutely disgusting and clearly very dangerous in terms of potential food poisoning!!! All other members of our party had meals that were ‘ok’ but not worth the final cost!!! It took over 2 hr 45 mins for the meal to be served and we were charged an extortionate price for bread. I am a property owner and have visited many local restaurants - will not be returning to this one and would advise others to avoid if you...

First time in “La Caracola” and we love it! This restaurant has an amazing terrace just in front of the sea (I recommend you to make a reservation, to make sure that you have a spot there. It’s really worth it). Delicious dishes with beautiful presentation, wide wine list and wonderful dessert. I had beef tenderloin with foie gras and I have to say that I enjoyed every single bite of the meal. I highly recommend the chocolate mousse and the tiramisu as desserts. These are just a few of the homemade desserts and are amazing! Service was delightful and very professional and we will definitely be back again! They made us feel welcome and gave us an amazing experience!

No volveremos. Hay sitios mucho mejores en Portopetro.
