Tarragona Hostel — Hotel in Tarragona

I love the city of Tarragona, (50 min from Barcelona) it has loads of Roman history, the city is very safe and its traditions AND cuisine are a true representation of the nation. Don´t be surprised if the menus still come only in Spanish and Catalan but not English||Then this hostel. This hostel is a stone throw from everything, is clean, convenient and reasonably priced. The staff is superb, they are funny and always keen to help. My favourite was Angel, great English, helpful and with an incredible heart. The hostel has a decently equipped kitchen, comfy beds, great showers, lovely outdoor terrace, supermarkets right at the door entrance and the view point 3 min walk from the hostel. Go to la Mora, you will see amazing bays (i hope you don´t mind nudist ppl) pristine waters and virgin spaces.Much Cheaper than Barcelona.... so another bonus...

3/5 – Disappointing Stay with Missed Potential

There aren’t many budget options in Tarragona for €25 a night, so I wasn’t expecting luxury — but even at this price, I was surprised that basic essentials like a towel weren’t included.

The hostel itself felt very empty, yet I was placed in a shared room with older guests who were sleeping or resting in complete darkness throughout the day, which made the space feel uncomfortable and awkward to navigate. It felt like poor room allocation, especially considering there were likely other beds available.

There’s definitely potential here — the place could have offered a much better experience with just a few small improvements. Unfortunately, things like noise from the street, constant door sounds, and inconsiderate guest behavior made the stay less...

Right in the center of tarragona,(10 minutes walking distance from the train station and 15 min away from the beach) this hostel is a little place of paradise for relaxing and enjoying the city. We went as a group of three friends and could not hope for a better welcoming place. The people working there are always ready to help or give advice on places to visit and we soon felt part of the hostel family. We would like to make a special shout out to Angel, who lights up the atmosphere as soon as he enters the place and was very helpful in showing us the best places to visit. ||The hostel was very clean and the outside area beautiful.||We would come again without hesitation. ||Clara,...
