Pria Vista Hotel Matara — Hotel in Matara

We did like the Pria Vista hotel but it is a three 🌟 property.

The room was very clean, a good size, great AC and with a nice balcony overlooking the beach.

The bathroom was functional apart from there being no geyser for hot water (important, not all rooms have hot water and not all rooms are as nicely decorated - one was a ghastly green). An issue with the bathroom is that the shower is at one end and the drain at the other - causing a water build up across the floor.

There was no TV and the WiFi is intermittent at best IE: unreliable. No dining facilities were apparent and no hotel information booklet in the room.

Direct beach access is available through the back gate and is in fact the fastest way into 'town'.

The hotel is a 10 min walk to the Bus Terminal and 20 min to the railway station.

If you are not into dogs, there is a lovely German Shepherd on...
