Brand New Hotel with Great Views & Warm Hospitality 🌿

I had a wonderful 3-night stay at this newly opened hotel (February 2025). The hotel is run by a Sri Lankan-German couple, and their hospitality made my stay truly enjoyable.

Rooms & Comfort: I stayed in a sea-view room with a spacious balcony, where I could relax and enjoy the view. The room was beautifully designed, featuring air conditioning, a comfortable bed, a work desk, and a minibar. There was also a tea and coffee-making station, which was a great touch. The bathroom was well-equipped with toiletries, making the stay even more convenient.

Peaceful Sleep: The hotel is located by the road, but I had no issues with noise—though I did sleep with earplugs, just in case. The bed was soft and very comfortable, ensuring a great rest.

Delicious Breakfast: The breakfast was fresh and delicious, offering a variety of options. Every morning started with a great meal in a lovely setting.

Beach & Location: The hotel’s beach is just across the road, and guests have access to beach towels and sun loungers. The sea is great for swimming, and further down the beach, there are surf schools, international restaurants, and Isle of Gelato, a well-known local ice cream shop. The beach is popular with surfers, including beginners.

Friendly & Attentive Service: The hotel staff was warm, friendly, and always ready to assist, creating a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, ensuring guests had everything they needed. As a solo traveler, I felt safe and well taken care of during my stay.

Perfect Experience at Luck Monkey Inn!

My stay at Luck Monkey Inn was simply amazing! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with exceptional hospitality. The staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to help, making the experience even more special.

The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and impeccably clean, with a stunning view of the ocean. The bed was super comfortable, and the thoughtful decor created a cozy and relaxing atmosphere.

Breakfast was one of the highlights of my trip! Everything was made with fresh ingredients and tasted absolutely delicious – from the tropical fruits to the traditional Sri Lankan dishes.

The hotel’s restaurant also deserves praise, offering incredible seafood dishes.

I ordered one portion of fried rice from the ‘Today’s Special Menu’. Unfortunately, the dish was very disappointing. The fried rice was too dry, overly salty, and the rice itself was undercooked. It seemed as if the ingredients had been kept in the fridge and then quickly prepared, resulting in a lazy, bland dish with no freshness, flavor, or appeal. Overall, it felt like eating plain white rice with almost no taste.

One more important point I need to mention is that I ordered one bottle of Sprite (400ml). The price printed on the bottle was Rs. 200, but they sold it to us for Rs. 500.
