New Coral Garden Weligama — Hotel in Weligama

This is the real deal.

I spent there almost two months with my spouse and can definitely recommend it.

The place itself is great: motorbike parking, small patio, washing machine, freezer. There are 3 different apts in the place. The AC - 1st floor apt was perfect for me. It's clean, it's fresh, everything is on it's place and working. Hot water, air-conditioner, small kitchenette with a sink is also available (If you need to cut fruits or do some easy non-gas cooking/serving). If you need a stove, you can easily cook in shared kitchen and as I mentioned before, there are only three apts in the place, so the kitchen isn't crowded.

The design is pretty simple, but it’s 100% useful and clean.

Location: The place is next door to KFC Weligama, it is not noisy center. I mean it's quiet enough to sleep without earplugs. Due to it's location you can easily access Weligama surfing spots by foot. Shops/market/pharmacy are also in walking distance.

Owner/Management: There is not enough space on Google-reviews to describe all good sides of the person who runs this place. Kavinda is the Guardian-Angel of New Coral Garden Weligama. Always online, pro active, but not annoying. Tactful, well-mannered and honest person. He cares about the place.

Would I stay in New Coral Garden...

Spacious apartments located only 5 mins away from the main road and beach. The nearest supermarket is 10 minutes away. Some reviews of surrounding hotels mentioned an issue with noise from the Mosque but that was never an issue here. Could barely hear anything at night.

We got an apartment with 2 bedrooms and also a large balcony where you could dry clothes on the 1st floor. There’s A/C so never an issue with heat. Shower had hot water. It was only 500 to use the washing machine, cheapest rate around town, and you could also buy water from the host for a good price.

There’s a shared kitchen between the 3 apartments. There is 1 hob and a large fridge/freezer with all pans and cutlery available to use. The only downside is the kitchen is open so you get a lot of mosquitos, a bit of a nuisance to cook with.

Kavinda is a very helpful host, he’s always available over message if you need any help. Would recommend to stay here when in Weligama for a comfortable stay at...

We lived with our family in an apartment on the second floor for three months. Comfortable accommodation with air conditioning, fans, two large beds, tables, wardrobe and chairs. There is its own kitchen with utensils and its own bathroom. On the ground floor there is a shared kitchen with a refrigerator, gas stove and washing machine.

Polite owner, helped with any problems!

Quiet and peaceful area, near the police station. Very convenient location for a family with children. Close to shops, fish market...
