We booked this hotel as it is next to the river, but upon checking in we were told that the family suites are all non-river facing. The rooms are old and settings are weird (they have the minibars inside the walls, and one was right next to the entrance door). The entrance light was flashing like crazy when we first walked in so I had to call for maintenance, one of the safes was out of battery but the other one (also inside the wall by the entrance) was working so I didn’t bother to ask for maintenance on that. But how could they check someone into a room that has few things not working, in a 5-star hotel? Housekeeping was inconsistent: one day was super good, the other day was average. The rooms have tiny windows, and old curtains that cannot fully block the daylight which is very long in this part of region around summertime. We were on 5th floor and you can hear cars/motorcycles noises from outside all night long. I had to use earplugs when sleep. Location wise it is walkable but not as good as the Four Seasons as I later found. The hotel does not offer shuttle service from the train station or airport, and there is no public transportation you can take without actually another 5 minutes walk, so the better options are either walk directly from the train station or call Uber for train...
Read moreWe were 3 adults and a baby went down to the lobby bar to feed the baby and have a supper and some drink. They directed us to a small table in which there is no space to eat something despite we have baby. But then we noticed that there is a bigger place which suits us best and was not in use. We intended to go for that table but they told us that it is reserved. On the pictures i attached , you can see that there is no such a sign or there isnt any personal belongings, just there are some used, dirty glasses and dishes. We sat next to it, feed the baby with difficulty , ate something and all took around 2 hours. During all that time the ‘reserved’ table stayed with all those dirty mess for 2 hours , nobody came for it at all. And we just took a small table next to it trying to fit and eat something. When we asked the manager called Melisa to find a solution like maybe combining 2 small tables which were not occupied ; she didnt accepted and had no solution at all despite she could have. She is a manager but didnt manage anything at all. As a ‘Fans of M.O. ‘ i have never seen anything like that in other...
Read moreI stayed here for a night on a corporate rate and received their basic room. While it was sparkling clean had great interior materials, and was reasonably spacious, there were a few shortcomings which motivated me to take one star off the room. 1. The floor in the bathroom was about an inch higher than in the room, possibly because they used a really nice marble. The seel between the main wood floor and the bathroom floor was a square edge piece of marble as well. Not paying attention, I hit my toe on it twice, which was very painful. 1. There was no bath tub, only shower. I expected more from a 5 star hotel. I struggled to connect my samsung phone to their Samsung TV. Arguably that functionality was available, and there was a whole section on the system with instructions. Unfortunately these instructions were referring to apps which have been depreciated by the manufacturer several years ago. Separately, we had a dinner at their Sachi Japanese fusion restaurant, which was outstanding both in service and food. Very interesting flavors, perfectly...
