As tourists visiting Geneva on a hot day, we truly didn’t mean any disrespect. Our plan was to order drinks from this restaurant while we figured out where to go sit in the shade elsewhere, but after waiting about 5 minutes, no one came by to take an order. We had just picked up a pizza from the place right next door, which didn’t have any seating, and sat down outside this restaurant for not even 2 minutes on two empty chairs that were against the wall — not even at a table. We only opened the pizza box to take a quick picture, not to eat there.
When the chef came over speaking angrily, we immediately said “okay, we’ll leave” and even tried to explain that we wanted to order drinks — but he began yelling right away. Before I could even close the pizza box he was leaning in, raising his voice aggressively, and then followed us around the corner still shouting. It was honestly quite scary.
We would completely understand if the place was packed and we were taking up real estate, but there was only one couple eating there at the time.
Reading the glowing reviews afterward was surprising. Many talk about the “kind chef,” which does not match the treatment we received at all. The lower-star reviews, on the other hand, seem to describe the same behavior we experienced. Maybe the food is good, but no food is worth being...
Read moreTerrible experience. We had booked on The Fork and had 50% off (excluding preset menus). When we arrived they were mansplaining to us the menu (I’m Middle Eastern myself..) and was very very bad uncomfortable vibes for us women. Then we ordered 3 mixed plates and 3 additional mezzes with drinks and sandwiches and they said it wasn’t enough and didn’t want to apply the 50% off which we didn’t care about honestly. But then the guy came to us to ask to cancel our reservation etc to make more money.. felt scammed and it was so anxiety inducing. Do not recommend . We then went to another famous Lebanese restaurant where everyone was super friendly and no issues like here.
PS: an update AFTER posting this review and the chef replied to me he found me somehow on social media and started reacting to my posts from 2019 and past years on Facebook.. I’m not sure this is appropriate behaviour. We should have the right to express ourselves freely without...

The food was simply outstanding – every dish was packed with authentic flavors. The hummus was silky smooth, the tabbouleh was fresh and vibrant, and the mixed grill platter was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection.
The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who were happy to explain the menu and make recommendations. Don’t miss the dessert – it’s the perfect sweet ending to a delicious meal.
