I did the Aging and Prevention program. A few points - 1. The facility is very clean, scheduling of sessions is organized, food was amazing. I really enjoyed the daily massages, hydro-aromatherapy, phyto-mud+hydroJet, cryo, neurac, my add-ons, and private trainer. What I didn't like and found odd are the following: |2 items on the Energic Treatment with Eleni Lykou and my final medical consult. 1. When I first met Dr. Eleni I told her I was anemic I didn’t get around to telling her at that time I’m no longer deficient in iron because I take supplements, I know this for a fact because I’ve had blood test and know my levels. She immediately asked me to stick out my tongue and says “Yes I can tell you have low iron.” This is incorrect. I’m not deficient. Also just for sh$ts n giggles it didn’t come up in the metal test that it was low. From that moment on I can’t trust what she says or does. I’m just going with the flow. 2. My medical doctor I saw - Dr William Nguyen Van Danh for my final consult I agreed with everything he said except one thing made me question his diagnosis- he did this exercise where I’m laying on the bed and my leg is raised but bent. My finger is on a trigger point on my chest (liver) (based on my thermal imaging, chest area was red) while he attempted to push my leg down and I’m supposed to resist it. He did this for 4 elements- all of the others were fine I could resist it but when my finger was on the “liver” my leg went down. I can see his arm and he is applying MUCH more force to this trigger point than the others. I’m not imagining this. I mentioned it to him and he denied. I was worried about being late for the cooking class so I didn't have time to go back in forth trying to debunk what he said. But that left a sour taste. I truly believe he used more force. So there’s bias. Maybe unconscious bias on his part. Makes it hard to believe what he says for that given topic/diagnosis. ||I like Chenot, mainly because of the diet (I'm vegan). I do think Fiuggi's facility is better but I had a good time at Chenot with the exception of the medical providers. I did like the medical providers at Fiuggi (if Im comparing). If I go back, I would want to replace the medical appointment with another treatment. If that's even possible. One last item that I don't appreciate is, I filled out the review on the Chenot app when I left and no one reached out, I think...

I stayed here for 14 nights, which i didn’t anticipate that it would be long and i will get bored. I advice you to stick to the 7 days plan.
First the room itself and the bathrooms are very nice and renovated. Everyone is so kind and friendly. On your first day you will do medical and nutritional consultations and checkups. In addition to the hydrotherapy treatments. I recommend that you stick to your original program and not overcrowd yourself with additional treatments and checkups. I did that and ended up canceling most of them because I was too overwhelmed with the schedule! So don’t let anyone pressure you to add more! and enjoy your free time by going to the pool/gym/sauna or enjoy yourself in the library.
The food on the first two days was okay, but after that I don’t know what happened. At first, I couldn’t finish my meals and ate only half or quarter of every meal (which is bad because the program is very low in calories and this means I ate less than 800 cals a day). After I finished my first week. I couldn’t take the food anymore and ended up skipping the whole 3 meals and eating an apple a day with some berries on the side 🥹. By the way, don’t forget to have the iced barley coffee with oat milk! It’s what kept me sane haha. The virgin mojito was also good.
Overall, I loved my experience as I lost weight, felt and looked much better than the state I started with. But I really think they should do something about the food. I swear some of it seemed...
Read moreUnfortunately… they do not follow and apply the Chenot Method. |• Little focus on Chinese medicine and Chenot Philosophy. Not once did anyone refer to the 5 elements, relevance of chronobiology, importance of eating disassociated, pertinence of energy flow in the meridians or relationship between emotions and body. |• No holistic approach and coordination between departments. Doctors, nutritionists, massage and energetic therapists operate in four different universes. Sometimes contradictory information is given. |• Massages are excellent but traditional. They do not concentrate on restoring the energy flow in the meridians nor involve electro-stimulation. |• No conferences on the Chenot philosophy. Henri Chenot was adamant about transmission: the necessity to educate guests so they could apply real practical changes to their everyday life and generate profound and lasting improvements. ||At the end of my stay, I feel physically rested and regenerated; but I did not receive any new knowledge to bring home and further improve my everyday life. My nutritionist recommended I go to bed earlier and my doctor suggested I drink more water and consume less salt and processed foods. I didn’t need to go to Weggis for such advice. ||Can the Weggis team develop their own proficiency without direct exposure to Henri Chenot? It is a huge challenge, but if they do not reach it, they will continue to be “inspired by” and not a genuine Henri Chenot...
