Hotel Rössli Gourmet & Spa — Hotel in Weggis

Great hotel, good rooms, friendly personell, verry good food in the restaurant Equo 1706 breakfast and diner. But there are some flaws we had a room at the 4th Floor in the beginning of september and it got verry hot. But when we kept the window open to cool the room down lots of musqitos would fly in. There was no other way of cooling the room down therefore we had a room which was too hot. Futhermore there is something of a spa in the hotel but there were dat to many massage rooms most of which were never in use and the sauna's weren't hot like they should be. The herbal sauna was only 36°C and the Finish Sauna was only 60°C which is way too low for both types. This way we did not have a drop of sweat in either sauna after 15 minutes. I can understand if you want to conserve energy but this is not the way as it is corroding the whole spa experience! Lastly the breakfast was far to crowded the last two days we spend there on the last day there was no table for us and we had to wait 20 minutes and come back. This is not the fault of the hard working staff in the restaurant trying tot manage all tables. But rather a planning issue. They say that due to corona they have less tables available but this is not the problem as there are simply to many guests for the restaurant staff to manage at a given time. It would be beter to implement some kind of sheme were guests reserve a place in a certain time window for breakfast in order to spread the stream of guests and prevent the overcrowding of the restaurant. This hotel was a pleasant surprise on our trip.

The hotel is in an excellent location, 50 meters from the lake, a beautiful place, nice to walk around.

Everyone who helped us at the hotel was very friendly.

The breakfast was good, fresh juices, several options of cold cuts, yogurts, etc.

We got the largest room, with a small living room, because we had to work even on vacation, so the room suited us very well.

Automatic curtains, coffee maker, wardrobe, a spacious bathroom, with the only criticism being that there was a plastic curtain in the shower area. My wife was delighted with the Dyson hair dryer.

The bed was too soft for my taste, I sank into the bed. In hotels it is not advisable to use a very soft bed, as it only pleases a small portion of the guests.

The parking is on the street and there are few spaces. Of the 3 daily parking, I was only able to park in front of the hotel for one day, the other days I had to park in the public parking lot, which is about a 10-minute walk away.

It's been years since I've stayed in a hotel this clean. Everything was clean, inside the wardrobe, on top of the wardrobe, windows, balcony, places that are usually not clean... 10 out of 10.
