Good: The apartment is centrally located, with a tram stop, bus stop and supermarket all within a block. The entry procedure was easy, I was just emailed a code to use on the door and that was it. The room has nice looking furniture and was clean. There was an OTO for a fiber installation if you're staying a while. When I reported insects, they sent a professional to eradicate them.
Bad: The elevator was broken for the full 2 months I had the room booked. Given that I was on the third floor and had 100kg of luggage to carry up the horribly designed stairs, this was a big deal. There were insects that looked like cockroaches in the room, along with other smaller insects. When I reported the above to the staff, they offered to relocate me to a room on a higher floor, which would mean carrying all my luggage up more floors as well as back down more floors. They should have offered a refund or for me to move to another building. Though the furniture was pretty, it was so useless so as to be annoying. There was a long bench and despite being too shallow to sit at, had seats in front of it, which just got in the way of the power outlets.
To be fair, they were in the process of fixing/replacing the elevator when I left and the insects were removed, so if you visit later, the problems I had may not exist and the apartment may be worthy of a much higher rating. That said, I'm rating based on my own experience, which was...
Read moreAs a big family of 6 adults and a baby we had two apartments. One on the first floor, the other on the last (5th). The worst impact on our stay had the elevator that broke down on the last two days of our stay. Imagine taking down all suitcases via a dangerous staircase for five floors - a nightmare! The management just politely apologized, but did not offer any help. The apartment looked nice but it had all kinds of small flaws like lamps that were not working, windows with a lot of corrosion, etc. There was no proper dining table for an apartment of four adults. Since the rooms are not attended there is no clear arrangements for the garbage disposal (in our case for baby diapers). The location is in a quiet area of Zurich with easy access to the best public transportation...
Read moreI stayed at this apartment expecting a comfortable and restful visit, but unfortunately the experience was far from that. The indoor temperature was extremely high — it felt like 40 degrees Celsius, making it nearly impossible to relax or sleep. There was no air conditioning, and opening the windows was not a solution due to constant traffic noise and strong, unpleasant smells from the restaurants just below the building.
While the apartment itself was clean and well-furnished, the lack of ventilation and unbearable heat made my stay very uncomfortable. I strongly recommend that future guests be aware of these issues, especially during warmer months. Sadly, I would not stay here again unless proper climate control is installed or alternative ventilation...
