Mesob — Restaurant in Zurich

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Mesob Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious—authentic and full of flavor. It was a true culinary experience we won’t forget.

A special shoutout to Tesfay, who went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. Not only was he incredibly friendly and hospitable, but he also shared a wealth of information about great places to visit in Switzerland, which really enriched our trip. On top of that, he generously lent us his parking blue disc, which made it so convenient for us to park our car for free.

My first time eating Ethiopian and this place does not disappoint. Pretty sure I won't need breakfast tomorrow with the portions, and flavours I've never tasted before. Got to try a couple different Ethiopian beers (beat that for hipster :P ) though one was made in Switzerland (still really nice though).

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Very attentive and were always there when you needed another drink or more bread for all the sauces on the plate. The 8 of us in the group ordered 2 meals for 4. 8 hungry mouths and we couldnt finish it.

I'll be visiting again to try some other different things. Their menu is quite extensive and I think I've only scratched the surface...

My very first experience with Ethiopian & Eritrean kitchen. We ordered a vegetarian platter for three, with extra chicken, which was absolutely delicious. No cutlery provided, as the eating culture is said to take the food with a crepe-like flat bread, eating with your right hand. We had a lovely and interesting, so called Honey-wine, which was sweet-sour in taste. The staff was very friendly and the service was smooth and nice at all time (on a Monday evening).
