We were at Liyu restaurant for the first time. We love Ethiopian food. We were 2 adults and 2 kids and ordered Lentils soup as a starter and the mixed plate for 2 people and a Lamb dish. We got so big generous Portion. Everything tasted so delicious and fresh!!!!!!! Our little son did not eat meat, so we wanted to order a potion of Lentils that came with the plate. The owner was very kind and said we didn’t need to order it but he could offer a small bowl of lentils for our little son. Not only the food was great, but that fact that the owner didn’t even want to only make money but so kind for small stuff that made our evening so pleasant. I love Ethiopian food, and the food at Liyu is as good or better than any I've ever eaten.

The injera (flat Ethiopian bread) was delicious and gluten free, the beef was really tasty, I loved the chicken, and I tried some of my friend's beef tartar (raw) which was also so good!

They have vegetarian and vegan dishes too, so it's a great option if you are a mixed group of meat-eaters and veggies and want to cater to everyone's dietary needs!

The Ethiopian owners (a couple who also cook and serve the food) are so friendly and helpful, and speak great English and German.

I came here for lunch and had a truly delightful experience. I ordered the vegetarian platter, which was not only delicious but also beautifully presented.
