This is a very nice hostel with the all the amenities you need at a affordable price. It is neat and well organized. Clean and inviting. From ZhongXiao Dunhua MRT station Exit 7, just walk straight for one minute and turn right to Lane 147, ZhongXiao E. Rd Sec 4. The 6th storey hight hostel is just right in front. Many eateries and shops within walking distance. We enjoyed our vegetarian breakfast of soy milk and youtiao (dough fritter) from nearby Delisoys restaurant.
Stayed in Quadruple Room with Shower for 2 nights with breakfast at total cost of TWD6472. Room is clean with adequate amenities coming from hostel standard. Open concept wardrobe is practical. One twin bed and double-decker bed. Comfortable and clean. Appreciate that our room was cleaned daily. I did not expect that from hostel.
Toilet is clean. Towels are provided. Cold and hot water pressure was strong. I like the configuration that the face washing basin is located outside the toilet. Convenient for all.
Breakfast is at the 3rd floor. Healthy and simple but enough. Need to wash your own plates and cups after use. Everything is labelled and neatly placed in the kitchen area. Free tea/coffee and water all time. You need to store your shoes at the ground floor and change to the house sandals provided. Wifi speed is acceptable. Laundry service is at 7th floor. There is a lift in the building.
Check-in/out is straight forward. Reception is at 3rd storey and is...
Read moreIt was a great hostel! The rooms were clean and very modern. The bunks were spacious and the room was really nice too. It had a lot of windows and looked bright and inviting. Everybody had a lockable locker, which my small suitcase and my backpack fitted into very well. My 20l suitcase didn't, but that wasn't a problem as there was enough space in the rest of the room to keep it stored. The common areas were also very nice! The showers were super clean and nice and the eating/hang out space was super nice too. I really enjoyed sitting by the windows and looking out onto the city at night. The breakfast was also awesome and the staff were so nice and spoke super good English! I met a lot of great people there which I had a great time with during my trip, which I met mostly during breakfast where the table setup invited to be social, but you could also choose tables apart from the group for a more quiet breakfast. The windows were very well noise cancelling, so eventho the hostel is in the middle of the city it was quiet. And the A/C worked really good too. I travelled alone, so I was a little worried about safety, but I felt super safe in the hostel and in the area around it (and basically all of Taiwan). I would stay here again for sure! Especially for the price this was a...
Read moreI’ve been to about 10 hostels throughout my life (all in China or Taiwan) and this is hands down the best I’ve been to. I’ve stayed a week so far and have 3 weeks left. Staff are friendly and proficient in English (but willing to practice mandarin if you wish, particularly Fei, she’s so great!), beds are comfy/spacious and have a curtain to block light, e-lockers are also pretty spacious, common area has peaceful music playing, everything is impeccably clean. Shared fridge, water station for drinking water, hairdryers provided, soap provided, toothpaste provided, free first towel but for rent after the first. Oh, it’s also super close to the metro station and a night market. Also check out Uber eats for sure, you can get cheap food delivered to your doorstep (important to know because the surrounding area is a bit pricey).Only thing I might recommend the hostel do is to somehow remind guests to be mindful that they’re sharing a room with 7 other people and not be noisy. One morning at 7:30am a girl kept snoozing her alarm for over an hour, and another day two other girls got home at 2am and proceeded to have a loud, lengthy conversation in the middle of the night. This isn’t the hostel’s fault but perhaps they could look into ways to help...
