Went to S off a recommendation from a friend who has similar hair type and texture. I was very clear I only wanted 1 inch off. She told me I had to cut 2 inches because it was so dry. Of course it was dry, you shampooed it 5 times and didn’t put any leave in conditioner in ..

Then she kept cutting. And I kept reminding her my hair is very different dry. It’s curly and fluffy and the shorter it is the more it shrinks. After the third time I told her because she was cutting shorter and shorter, she got frustrated with me and left to go do other people’s hair. She comes back 30/45 min later and proceeds to cut another inch off the bottom.

When she’s finished she does the worst styling on curly hair I’ve ever seen. My hair looked like a 2 year old did it. It was frizzy, no curls at all, and just a big puffy mess she kept puffing up more and running her fingers through. I was shocked at how bad it was.

Her other clients’ hair looked good. Maybe she can only cut and style permed hair. Definitely don’t go here if you have naturally curly hair. She doesn’t listen, isn’t kind, and doesn’t know how to style curly hair.

I am giving this review 1 star only because there is nothing lesser. Never have I seen the hair stylist (Tender) come out at the right time. The appointment time is allotted by him but he still arrives 15-20 minutes late, once 45 minutes late and acts like nothing ever happened. People don't have all day to be sitting at your salon. Apart from that, the girls who are assistants who help in washing hair keep talking amongst themselves and giggling all the time. They will ask you few questions (about your nationality etc) and then start talking and giggling. I don't know if they do the same thing to Taiwanese but nobody feels comfortable in such a situation. Even if your main craft is good but you don't know how to treat the customer your salon is going to be...

First time getting my hair done in Taipei. Cheetah was my hairdresser and she is amazing! She totally understood what style I was going for (an ashy type of balayage on medium length hair) and even showed me how to style it in different ways afterwards. She was very accommodating and easy to communicate with even with minimal English.

Definitely recommend this salon and Cheetah. Will come back when I wanna try something new...
