Esiya Hotel — Hotel in Dar es-Salaam

I can't say enough good thing about this establishment. Hotel is nice and clean and ideally located....but my review and rating is mostly attributed to the outstanding service I received. I was traveling Tanzania on my own for three weeks, I had a reservation to stay at the Esiya only for one night as I was returning from climbing Mount Kilimandjaro and heading for a well deserved rest in Zanzibar. I had made arrangements to be picked up at the airport (the hotel Esiya offers free shuttle from airport to hotel) but my 2pm flight was canceled and delayed and delayed again!! I had try sending and email to the hotel to advise of the change but I was not sure if they had received or not. I ended up arriving at the Dar Es Salaam aiport at 1:30am....in all fairness, at that point, I was not expecting to have transportation waiting for me....well sure enough, got of the plane, picked up lugage and Mrs Jane was there for me!!!! ....I was soooooo grateful! ...I had lots of lugage, mainly mountain gear that I certainly did not need in Zanzibar and I was able to make arrangements to leave a bag at the hotel that I picked up on my way back a few days later! ....again Mrs Jane and her staff went above and beyond and made my trip this much more enjoyable.
