Good: Price was fine for what you get. Location was ok, walking distance to the ferry and right next to the city center. I walked all around without any problems. Air con and fan in my room worked well, also wifi was fine. Receptionists were all nice. I appreciated the mosquito net around the bed. My room and bathroom were clean. Bad: It was too loud there during the day, there was a reconstruction going on at the Central railway station during my stay and it was extremely loud since early morning, I could not sleep and could not work online during the day when they were digging and banging right outside of my balcony. They asked me to do check out between 10 and 10:30 am even though on Booking it says 11am. Unfortunately, I had to go to the airport around 8:30 pm and that meant quite a long time waiting from check out until my departure time. As it was too hot and it looked like raining, I didn't feel ok waiting outiside at the street and I asked for a later check out. Altough the hotel was not full at all, I was asked to pay 93% of the price for another night even though I did not sleep there and left already in the evening. That was very disappointing to pay almost the entire price for the whole night even under those cirmumstances. Yes, I understand it would be different if the hotel was almost full, but not when they did not have to clean my room for another guest the very same day. No lift, you have to climb the stairs. There were guys sitting at the stairs watching something very loud and shouting until midnight and no one from the hotel went to tell them anything (hello, respect other guests who are paying there to sleep at night please!) until I went in my PJ and told the guys personally.

The place is nice. I stayed in a spacious room with a balcony (Room 301). It has AC, a fan, and hot water (which isn't really necessary). Unfortunately, the WiFi was very slow in that room, even when trying to connect to two different networks. The room was clean, except for the balcony which was very dusty. Breakfast was okay: a cup of ginger tea, two slices of white bread, a plain omelette, and one banana. The staff are friendly, and the location is excellent—right in the center, close to the ferry terminal and the main road for bus access. There's also a supermarket nearby. Overall, my stay was okay, but the price doesn't quite match the level of service provided, 2500kes per night? . That's why the 3 stars rate.

- very good location near from the ferry and the airport too .. very good for a day before travelling with ferry or from airport. - there are fan rooms and AC rooms - clean room - value for money almost 20$ per night - the room have both good AC and fan - you can't use credit cards only cash. - big room - the area is good location near from good restaurants , shops , markets , banks and etc - includes breakfast in general we enjoyed alot there.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – Excellent Stay at Kibodya Hotel 6

I had a great experience staying at Kibodya Hotel 6 in Dar es Salaam, located conveniently on Nkrumah Street. From the moment I arrived, the reception was warm and professional, making check-in smooth and welcoming.

The security is excellent, giving me peace of mind throughout my stay. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and equipped with functioning air conditioning, which made a big difference in the heat. I especially appreciated how safe and quiet the environment felt despite being in a central location.

The food service was on point, and the morning breakfast stood out—delicious, fresh, and served on time every day. For everything the hotel offers—comfort, cleanliness, security, and service—the price is extremely affordable, making it one of the best value-for-money options in Dar.

Highly recommended for both short and long stays. Will...

This hotel was just 700 m from the ferry point in Dar es salaam. So I just walked to the ferry point after having wholesome breakfast there early morning.

The pillows were not soft which impacted my sleep. Elevator wasn't available, it was challenging to carry suitcase from 3rd floor to the ground floor.

I loved that they served breakfast on my table. I think it would have been great if online food delivery was possible. I reached there at 21:00 hrs in the night (their official checkin time is until 18:00) and they were kind to let me checkin. But I was totally knackered by that time. So I had no motivation to go to a restaurant for the meal. Since they didn't offer the dinner or food pickup/delivery, I slept without having dinner that night.

I booked this stay because of the location. So from that standpoint, it met my...
