What a find ...cant speak highly of this property..homely, quiet, overlooking the Indian ocean with a little touch of luxury. The Boutique Hotel is on the site of a hospital, and has been turned into 8 suites...4 x doubles & 2 x twins. They are large, spacious with high ceilings & well appointed. The doubles contain a deliciously comfy four poster bed, a desk, sofa along with a small fridge plus TV - the bathroom, a free standing bath, walk thru shower, double sink.||In the Hotel lounge you will find sofas for sitting or sprawling along with a small library & some interesting photographs, artwork & artifacts.||\The beautiful backyard is delightfully relaxing with a small pool, day beds & a small lounge area with receives a breeze on the most windless day. The gardens are kept immaculate & you will find several quirky scrap metal sculptures made by local polio victims.||The delectable menu is eaten on the veranda which looks out into backyard...& what can be said about the staff - they are just wonderful. Rooms, staff, location… Amazing! Across the street from the most popular beach in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania— Coco Beach! The staff was amazing. I had a late flight that arrived close to midnight and the hotel staff was kind enough to wait after hours, and checked me into my room. Upon checking into my room, I walked in and was completely amazed at the cleanliness, the huge size and the beautiful views, overlooking Coco beach and the beautiful ocean! Not only did the hotel staff go over and beyond my expectations. They also scheduled a hair appointment for me as I had a wedding to attend. The Msusi (locktician) was scheduled and my hair appointment took place in my room, on the huge balcony, while viewing the beautiful scenery… I couldn’t believe it! I was thrilled. The hospitality and service is unmatched. I will definitely be returning to the Oyster Bay Hotel and suites! HIGHLY...
