The beach is beautiful. There is lots available to eat and accessories. There is an interesting sea shell place. I prefer to find my own which is possible if you have time and are lucky. The water is warm. The beach is rocky depending on tide. I chilled in the shallows uneasy but Definitely bring along your beach shoes or buy from the locals who want to sell you these. they will sell you on it as there they can find you sea urchins that are present. Prices may vary on all services. They will also try to sell you a shaded place. I always feel someone wants to sell you something and wont be left alone to swim. there is transport available from the beach. There often is broken bottles around but they dont seem to be dangerous. overall a great time out.

This place is full of scammers! Tried to use the bathroom and a random person charged us $5000 shillings! The actual price is $300. We should have left after that but decided to eat where we were double charged because we are tourist. The people sitting next to us had the same exact meal and they told us their bill was half the price and they confronted the owner for us! His own staff knew he scammed us! He took the money and went to go buy weed which he hand in his hand. He refused to refund us or even apologize! He is a liar and should be ashamed of his actions! Here is a photo of him.

Such a beautiful place ruined by the trash left behind. Honestly, the beach is nice and the layout of the new shops lined up against the beach is great. But what’s the point of drawing in more tourist if the beach is littered so badly, it turns people away? I loved every moment there, just wish there was trash cans available to not only protect families but also to take care of the eco system. When you go being cash, a blanket and wear shoes unless you want mishkaki sticks stabbing your foot every 10 feet

What an inviting beach. It is usually patronized by families at the weekends. It is all live and bustling with families enjoying the splash in the water whilst live music is blazing away. Place has pubs and grills. One section of the beach is lined up by restaurants serving local dishes... sumptuous dishes. Giving one the true feeling of being in Dar-es-Salaam. Coco beach - Loud events hold hotel guests hostage! Music wherever one turns. The once oasis of peace and quiet has become a hot-spot for loud music and even blasting right center of the lovely garden. If you plan a relaxing stay - look further. The room and hotel remain top notch - but at what price. Sad we loved the hotel, it's lovely staff.
