Coco Beach is pretty expansive! It is bordered by rocky outcrops on each side. From the Police Officers Mess side is a kind of no mans land expanse that is accessible by trails leading to cliffs. Locals enjoy hanging out here because it is different from the sandy central area. Groups of friends, couples and touts frequent this area before sunset. Then there is the built up(haphazard) central area that everyone typically hangs out at. Dirty describes seasonal sea weed washing to shore! Yes, the proprietor can do a clean up but the public can also play there part! Then there is the Mishkaki and Cassava part of Coco frequented by locals and less so the TanzanianAsian Community nowadays. There is police presence at all times along Coco.
