Kilimanjaro Star Hotel — Hotel in Kilimanjaro

Stayed here because I got a good deal. But I think they may have rebranded to "Kilimanjaro Star Hotel"? ||||Anyway, I thought the staff was very nice and helpful. The wifi wasn't working because they were doing some construction but the lady at the desk very kindly went to buy some data and I used her hotspot. ||||Breakfast was fine. Sweet potatoes, spring rolls, fruit, eggs, tea, coffee, etc. Buffet style. It also had an outdoor eating area under a roof and it was nice to just stay there in the evening (just to relax, not eat).||||Now the room: ||||Big bed, net, bathroom was ok too. Not new, but as I expect from such a place. ||||I saw someone said they felt the location was bad but I thought it was pretty central. Maybe 10 mins walk to the actual "center" of Moshi? Also means that it's quieter. I walked around Moshi and the location didn't bother me. ||||THE ONE BAD THING: ||In the early morning, I was woken up by noise made by what felt like 100000 birds. The location is not really good, it's like 5 blocks from the main street. During the day no issues, but during the night we saw some fights just in front of the hotel and the hotel staff recommended us to not go out during night. So you only have the option to eat at the hotel restaurant.||- We didn't have TSH so we paid with dollars and they didn't accept well dolars, so they gave us awful exchange rate.||- The food is acceptable not great, prices are ok.||- We stayed at 3 floor, so there was not preasure enough for the shower. So you need to shower yourself with 1cc per second.||- WIFI didn't reach our room, but we sit at the stairs to use it.||- The staff was not nice, and they didn't have information about tours, restaurants, or any information that a tourist needs.||||With all of this, we had a great time. Wifi comes as part of the package but wasn't working, my room had no hot water, the room was a little neglected (204) with peeling paint, adjacent to a very loud night club so sleep was a dream (see what I did there) and after all of this, they still charged me for cancelling an extra night.
