First of all rooms are dirty. Dusty (not sandy, they are dirty) and with tons of cobwebs. In the first 7 days, they officially cleaned it, but the only thing that was visible was your stuff moved around without sense and order. Last 4-5 days no one even enter in the room for cleaning. So if you wanna know where your shirt is, keep it in suitcase. Shower head broke, and 5 days later, it was still not fixed. Last 4 days no one even enter in the room for cleaning. |No mosquito web in all rooms, so be prepared for it. Bring some tablets or room repellent for them. |You have only 5 options for breakfast, 2 of them are dessert, not breakfast. Stuff is soooo slow. You never know how fast you'll get your meal. It can be in 15 min or more than an hour. For dinner/lunch is the same. And you'll not always get what you've ordered. |There is a pool but with stale water. I haven't seen filters, but I saw algae.😳 No smell of the chlorine. Just saw guy at the evening vacuuming sand from the bottom. Day by day, water was becoming more turbid.||On the beach, there is a wood platform with lots of broken parts and rusty nails. So if you haven't taken your tetanus vaccine, be careful there. There is a lot of garbage as well. For some reason, seaweed is usually only in front of their resort. And that can affect sea entrance in that area. |Unlike the others around them, they don't have power-generator. At least they didn't use during our visit. So no power no water from time to time. |This is not my first Africa, and it is also not my first trip out of Western countries. I know where am I. So this is not that kind of review. I slept in lower categories, but they were not...
Read moreWe came to this hotel based on positive reviews. I must say that it looks nice and it is nice but that is the end of positive stuff. Rooms are huge, pretty simple, no fridge, with not so nice smell on the spot for your stuff. Bed is nice and big, but it is hard like rock, sunbeds on the pool are more comfortable than this in the room. The pool is nice and water is hot, but it is dirty and always is dirty more or less. But all of this is fine (if you look only from the positive side), until you order the food. The service is normaly slow, but it is not so big problem in speed of service, as it is with the quality of the food! Breakfast is very very basic and usually not tasty. Burgers are dissaster (i really can't ubderstand who can say that this "meat" and rock hard bread (most of the times) is tasty and good quality burger etc...! Pizza is far from some tasty pizza (ussualy they are missing chese ib the kitchen) as well as chicken dishes. The only good food was tuna (but it is not a vacation if you need to eat the same food every day, at least for me). No quality chocolate in any desert, and coffe is very bad (with price 2.3€). Beside that, the food and drinks are pretty expensive when you count low qualify which you get.
The only good thing about this place is barmen Baraka on the pool, the real proffesional, great, positive and polite men who can make every juice and cocktail great, like in normal hotel! When he is not on the bar-better do not...
Read moreRooms are large, with a lot of space, with mosquito net over the beds (no mosquito net on windows, at least on room we were in). Bathroom is also quite large, with big shower. Water pressure was a bit problematic, but overall satisfying. Food & drinks are very good quality, prices are comparable to prices at beach restaurants (but restaurants in village are cheaper). Service is extremely slow and makes a lot of mistakes, but very polite all the time.. Our proposal would be to pay only for breakfast in Khulala, since schedule for excursions is quite tight (a lot of them have lunch included, or there are restaurants nearby). Property is very large, with pool and voleyball court. Beach is very nice, but tide affects it highly, since water backs up 100+ meters during low tide, leaving algae farms, small puddles of sea water and few sea urchins, so pay attention where you step. Beach is also guarded by private security, which are great. However, the moment you step outside of property, prepare yourself for ton of locals trying to sell you anything and everything. whatever they say as first price, can usually be cut down by 30-50% with some bargaining. Wi-fi coverage is overall OK, with a few hicups. You will receive towels for beach and bathroom, they are replaced every 2-3 days.
We had amazing time (August 2021), a lot of interesting things to see and visit, and you will not mistake if you choose this property...
