Lanna Ricebarn — Hotel in Chiang Mai Province

We stayed here with our 15 year old son fir 5 nights. He loved the pool and WiFi. Rooms really well airconditioned. The living space is open but with fans - we had a double room house (4+5) - recommended if more than 2 of you - and others looked more enclosed. The fans kept the mosquitoes away. And at this time of year: amazing. The people humble and really friendly and breakfast is fantastic. Even provided a tray everyday for our over tired son! Some great restaurants not only on site but also on the 106 road. Many authentic, some not so, the not so authentenic restaurant which is well worth a visit is 'nanajungle'.|Pool is really refreshing. Beautiful grounds. Lana Ricebarn is a restaurant just over 20 minutes out of Chiang Mai Old Town not far from 89 Plaza and it is a restaurant and home stay with the home stay huts being for 2 person hut for 2000 baht a night and larger room for 4 people for 4000 Baht a night. The huts are in traditional Thai style surrounded by lush green gardens. The place is peaceful to relax in and the menu is northern style thai cooking and absolutely delicious. This is one of those little gems hidden away from the main town centre and worth a visit whether to stay over night or just coming for the delicious food. Absolutely stunning hotel in a rural spot with gorgeous ensuite rooms in separate lodges on stilts and a lovely pool .. food was excellent too although restaurant closes 830 sharp and no bar so it’s very much a quiet get away from it all place but easy yo get a taxi to and from chiang mai in only 15 minutes for about 150 bahtt each way. Also only a ten minute walk down quiet back lanes to a locals shopping area with numerous restaurants and shops pharmacies etc You need to preorder breakfast and we also found that we needed to actively request room at reception cleaning each day otherwise staff just leave bottled water...
